The Answer Man Only Speaks For Himself
Q. rvwink - What do you think?
A. The Answer Man thinks that when the Knicks were 3-8, Amar'e was more pissed than anyone on a message board.
Q. rvwink - In short, is it possible that Amare is now rethinking whether Melo is the most efficient purchase to help get the Knicks a championship?
A. Amar'e never thought about Melo in the first place. It was all a manufactured smokescreen, courtesy of Calvin Andrews. Who is Calvin Andrews? He is the agent that Carmelo fired back in June to take his services to CAA (Creative Artists Agency) in a package deal with LaLa. Cute huh?
Q. rvwink - Do you think even (Amar'e) knew that his rebounding, shot blocking, assists, clutch shooting and leadership skills would all flourish so soon with the Knicks?
A. Hard to tell what Amar'e knew. He knew his paycheck had a few extra digits and that he needed to earn his salary.
Q. rvwink - Is it also possible that he could have anticipated how well Felton, Chandler, Fields and Gallo have been playing alongside of him?
A. Not possible. Chemistry is an elusive commodity and no one expects Landry Fields to be the second coming of John Havlicek. But it could happen.
rvwink - When Amare thinks about what needs fixing, I wonder if he thinks about all of the fouls he has taking to defend the interior.
A. Amar'e does not think about what needs fixing any more than Donnie Walsh is working on his drop step and free throw technique.
Q. rvwink - Wondering if instead of scoring help, which he probably thought he needed, help in interior defense, and rebounding might now be a higher priority for him?
A. Amar'es priority is beating midtown traffic tomorrow, stretching properly and making certain his lenses don't fog up.
