I'm not really for personal accomplishments, but how did this happen? I bolded the highs.
Wade averaged 30.8 points on 58.4 percent shooting, plus 8.3 rebounds and 5.5 assists as the Heat went 4-0 last Monday through Sunday.
Stoudemire (who was nominated for the award) averaged 33.5 points on 57.7 percent shooting, plus 9.3 rebounds and 4.8 blocked shots during the Knicks’ 4-0 week.

Amare just beat a very old franchise record to boot.

Not only did Stat have the better stats overall but don't they see that Wade is playing with a superstar and allstar? Amare just sets a franchise record to boot.

I think they didn't do it for diversity's sake... either way, Wade's line was pretty effing good for an off guard

The 4.8 blocks is obviously wrong. The turnover #s probably favored Wade although I don't have them in front of me. The quality of the opponents might have been considered too.

I hear you bro, it sucks that Wade won it this week. But like you said, its a personal accomplishment. The NBA sucks like that! We have two huge games against Boston and Miami this week. Us Knick fans would be much happier if we win those.

I was hoping he'd get a 3rd award, but I had no idea that Wade was going off like that. Amar'e just needs to keep playing well so that he can get more consideration for MVP.

Yeah, I would also be much happier if we win the big games coming up. And of course those that follow.

TO's is 4.75 Amare to 3.5 Wade, both pretty bad but moreso for Wade, he is playing with a super star and all star.
2.25 Blocks, right Bonn.
Minutes Amare 41, Wade 37.75

By going by who Wade is playing with along with the minutes and stat difference, I still go with Amare. Hey, but this always happens in sports.

cause its the heat. People talk about our soft schedule but Utah and Phoenix are the only good teams they have beat. All the other wins were against poor teams (I'm on the fence with Atlanta....expecting them to regress).
the fact that you can't even have an unrelated thread without some tool here bringing him up make me think that rational minds are few and far between. Bunch of emotionally weak, angst riddled people. I mean, how many times can you argue the same shyt

most of the teams with winning records minus SA and the Celts, have come against lesser opponents...heck, denvers 7 game win streak..5 of those opponets had losing records.

N O jump off to a fast start by playing losing teams at home..but on another note wade has been playing really well and im happy for him..

He's really the only player on that team i respect, he had everybody come play with him...

in some ways u can also say that putting up Wade's stats while playing next to Lebron is all the more impressive as well... Amare is pretty much carrying this team as their #1 option, & that is a huge feat no question... he is the MVP so far in the NBA IMO... but Wade has had a crazy week & the Heat are also rolling right now... either player could have easily won the accolade & deservedly so.

After 7 years & 40K+ posts, banned by martin for calling Nalod a 'moron'. Awesome.
