This changes just about everything if this is the case, but Melo can still reject it.

No he cant

technically, no... but he can easily send the message that he doesn't want to play in Charlotte as players often do in these types of situations.

We are going to be hearing a bunch of stuff like this until the deadline. Denver is trying to get the most for him and are going to put out any convo they have with another team about Melo. Do you really think that the bobcats are going to trade for Melo without the prospects of actually keeping him? That is a big stretch in my eyes.

I'm with you.
Can't see Melo resigning with the Cats after the seasons done. Hope this gets done.

Makes sense. I don't know if its legit either but it does sound like its what they're doing.

I am sure this has nothing to do with it. Just an FYI...

Bobcats = Michael Jordan
Carmelo = Brand Jordan

Let him go to Bobcats and be wack there. We're doing big things without him here.

I was thinking that. Jordan probably would love to get Billups too.

DEN doesn't want to take on longterm salary, they're interested in young talent & draft picks.

a 3 way is a possibility where the Knicks take on some added salary & land the big prize, DEN gets the young talent they're after, & CHA gets rid of some burdensome contracts.

How much salary relief can we really offer? Eddy is our only expiring and it's not all that big of a contract.

One year with MJ talking to him might lead to an extension or resigning with Bobcats. Knicks can't afford to lose out on Melo kid yourselves all you want but the Knicks need Melo. We can be happy with the current winning its great; but you know and I know this is not a team that is going to compete for a chip when it is all said and done. The Knicks are missing another star to go with Amare just as Ewing missed that second star, why put Amare through that grind that Ewing went through. You need a go to perimeter player that can at will get his shot and the Knicks are sorely lacking that. Take a page out of the Yankee book and get the Star. You guys think it was easy giving up Soriano for A-Rod it wasn't but the Yankees knew what was right just as Melo would be the right move.
