My vote is for Jared Jefferies but as a FA signing at the minimum. I don't believe D'Antoni's system caters to anything more than a role playing 5, which is exactly what Jefferies is. More importantly, I think our money would be better spent upgrading other positions such as the 3 with Melo and potentially the point if Deron Williams and maybe Chris Paul become available.

You think Bogut is available in a more or less salary dump type move?

What about Chris Kamen- where is he?

we talking this year or this coming Summer?

Why is Bogut on the list? Remove him. Same with M Gasol (if we are talking this season).

I love the list. The only guys I can come up with to add would be Hansborough or McRoberts. I think one of those guys is leaving. Humphries and Murphy both have expiring contracts. I am not sure about the other guys. Naz is having a very good season and I wish he had a better game against the Knicks. I think the teams you approach first are the Nets and Kings. Both teams have young guys, Favors and Cousins, that are going to be their bigs of the future. The Nets have three players on your list. I think Smith might come really cheap and he just plays smart. He got a lot of playing time at the beginning of the season for the Nets. I don't think the Nets are moving Humphries because he compliments Lopez so well and Avery likes him but he has really impressed me this year.

I don't know what the salary cap implications are for trades but I would stay away from Jeffries. He finally played again tonight but I think the Knicks would have to give up a package of players to bring him back and I don't think it is worth it. Morey already owned Walsh. I don't think you do a Jeffries trade unless Buddinger is included.

The Nets and the Knicks won't make a trade with each other the next decade.

No way I give up a package of anything to bring back Jeffries.

Jared, Speights or Dalembert would be my top 3 targets. What would it take to get each guy I don't know. They likely wouldn't want much for Jared. Speights I guess still has some upside, so they may want something more for him. What would we give up? Walker or Mason and cash? I suck at trades, so I don't know, but i'd be Ok with any of those bigs.

No on everyone except Camby, who is unattainable.

Gasol is a free agent after the season so Memphis may want something before losing him for nothing.
Anthony Randolph should get it done. Although Nene lit up Gasol a couple nights ago.

Still found it hard to believe we didn't re-sign Earl Barron who would've been perfect.
The one bad move by Donnie was paying Roger Mason 1.5 million when he could've used that money (prob less) on Barron.

Jerome Jordan is in Europe but maybe he could be that guy..eventually with Mozgov.

Think an expiring vet like Jeff Foster could be the move.

Or how about bringing Rasheed Wallace out of retirement

Sheed would be great, but we tend to forget how bad was at the end and how he wouldn't play inside.
Alan Hahn: Nate Robinson has been on a ridonkulous scoring tear lately (remember when he couldn't hit Jerome James with a Big Mac in early January?)

Half of these guys are not even better than Mozgov and don't deserve to take development time from him.

Jeffries, Joe Smith, Mohammed, Speights, KWAME BROWN??, no-knees K-Mart, Thabust??? The hell is going on here?

I suppose there is no chance at getting McGee away from Washington. He would fit the need of the team pretty perfectly right now. I know BRIGGS was a big fan for a long time. He's probably playing too well to pick him up without having to offer something significant in return.

Toney Douglas and Bill Walker for McGee?

Would anyone be willing to part with Landry Fields for McGee?

Not sure that I would, but food for thought.

Anthony Randolph for JaVale McGee, straight up. Anyone? Anyone?

Could come back to haunt us if Randolph ever develops into half of what his potential is.
