(plus, you know, Balkman aint playin cause he smokes a lot)

A few good reasons Renaldo Balkman isn’t playing in Denver
by Kurt Helin

The Denver Nuggets have been desperate for front court help this season, looking for some support from anywhere while they waited for the recently returned Chris Anderson and the not-yet-back Kenyon Martin to get right.

Yet there sat Renaldo Balkman, the forward and former first round pick of the Knicks, barely able to get off the bench. Why is that? Denver Post Nuggets writer pulled no punches.

He hasn’t been giving it his all at practice. His focus has been wishy-washy. I’ve been told he doesn’t know all the plays and he doesn’t always make the best decisions on the court. And so, it’s understandable why other guys are getting more playing time (or, well — playing time in general).

Balkman is in his third season in Denver and he can’t get the plays right? Damn.

Balkman has played 14 minutes total in the two games he has gotten into this season for the Nuggets. Probably shouldn’t draft him on your fantasy team at this point.

Wasn't one of DW's first moves to dump Balkman? It was the first of many smart ones.

Is there any info that Randolph is a weedhead?

I always thought he was a fun guy to have on the team. I'd like to justify trading for him, but we have guys who can do what he can without Balkman's lack of offense
Alan Hahn: Nate Robinson has been on a ridonkulous scoring tear lately (remember when he couldn't hit Jerome James with a Big Mac in early January?)

I liked Balk but he was a horrible pick and should never have been on the team.

Balkman has attention deficit syndrome is my guess. They said the same thing about him here (his not being able to learn the playbook which, is strange since NY at the time only had like 3 plays in all. The pic-n-roll, drive & kick and the 3ball.
the fact that you can't even have an unrelated thread without some tool here bringing him up make me think that rational minds are few and far between. Bunch of emotionally weak, angst riddled people. I mean, how many times can you argue the same shyt

It is sad b/c I really liked Balkman. If he put in the work and focus, I really think he could have turned into a starting caliber SF. But with no jumpshot and not knowing the plays, he will be out of the league in another year. Dude is an amazing shot-blocker and defender from the 3 spot.

I ran into Renaldo Balkman walking out of MSG this summer, with a friend of his.
I quickly asked for a picture, and gave my smartphone over to my friend.

The phone, running the laggy Android OS at the time, stalled.
"C'mon, let's go let's go", Balkman snapped.

The camera fails to take a picture.
Balkman drops his arm and runs away.
Balkman fails to impress.

have fun rotting the bench in Denver you swine

He took the time to pose for a picture with you, your camera bombs and you are mad at him?

I just hope that people will like me
