Because Chicago leads that wack Central Division. I think that's some bum stuff, but I get it from a cash money standpoint. It's still bum stuff.

What they should do is guarantee a division leader a playoff spot, not a top 3 seed. That's crazy. Let them be 8th if they're 8th.

man, look as the next half dozen games coming up. It's kinda scary but it will provide a truer barometer of where the KNICKS are at.

the fact that you can't even have an unrelated thread without some tool here bringing him up make me think that rational minds are few and far between. Bunch of emotionally weak, angst riddled people. I mean, how many times can you argue the same shyt

Can someone explain to me why Chicago is ahead of Atlanta and not the Heat? Shouldn't the top division leader occupy the top three position. Why is Miami in the three spot when they are not leading the their division. Am I missing something? Something just doesn't seem right.

I have no idea either. I thought the division leaders were supposed to be the top 3 seeds. Both ESPN and Yahoo have Miami as the 3 seed.

Because the division champions are guaranteed a top-4 seed. If there is a team with a better record than a division champ, like Miami is better than Chicago, then they can get a higher seed, but Chicago can't go lower than 4th.

Division champs are guaranteed a top-4 seed, not top-3.

What I said in my earlier post in this thread is that I feel they should be guaranteed a top-8, nothing more.

Can you send some sort of legit source on this? I thought that the divison leaders were supposed to get the first 3 seeds since the NBA went from 2 divisions in each conference to 3.

Thanks Blob.

I don't understand the logic behind that however. What's the point of expanding the divisions like they did a few years ago if the division winners can't get the top 3 seeds? Protecting divison winners to a seed no lower than 4 is stupid.

3 division champs should be 1st, 2nd, and 3rd.

Because they're only guaranteed home court in the first round. If the top four seeds win the first round, that team that snuck in by winning its division plays the 1 seed, instead of the 3rd best team having to play them. Tough noogies.
