I thought Mayo was just a pipedream, but it really looks like he's on the out in Memphis. The Grizzlies really love the heady play of Xavier Henry, much like we do with Fields.

In his last game, Mayo only logged 15 min off the bench...and he wasn't even the first player off the bench. Hope we can get him for say an AR/TD package, but you know a lot of teams will be calling for him (Bulls especially would love to have Mayo fill their need at SG).

Don't really watch Memphis games, is his defense that bad? Like Jamal Crawford bad? (similar build/height)

says who? Is that a recent development? He's always been a tough dude when I have watched him, and thats a pretty good amount (although not really this year).

I would 100% do a TD/AR + $3mm for Mayo. Mayo would be first guard off the bench for 30 minutes a game(ish)

im reading the papers just like you. plus side is we have a legit defensive player in toney to spark at least trade talks between our clubs.

thats what im reading why he got beat out of a starting job. reason why a toney (plus ar) trade might make 'em bite.

I dont know if William's shooting is legit or flash in the pants, but his form looks amazing, almost Allan Houston like. If we had William/Mayo coming off the bench as shooter boy would we really have something. Its probably a year away but if we could ever get Mosgov going in the post you have some serious shooting to go with your inside outside game

I tell you what.... Knicks may just have a better option on their bench that is just simmering for another month or 2. Buike.

Knee will take time, but the dude is all defense and a good shooter. And cheaper. We shall see.

My sources tell me that Mayo's biggest problem is ego and an inability to follow directions. Not sure what that means, but I like to quote my sources because it makes me sound like an insider. Which I am, sometimes

Yeah, he is one dimensional. It also doesn't help that he's one dimensional and can't play point guard. The more I see OJ play, the more he resembles Ben Gordon.

Heh. "Flash in the pants". It's actually "flash in the pan", but I think your version is way funnier.

Wishing everyone well. I enjoyed posting here for a while, but as I matured I realized this forum isn't for me. We all evolve. Thanks for the memories everyone.

I wonder if Memphis would do Danilo Gallinari for OJ Mayo. That trade would be perfect. Mayo can even play some backup PG.

haha, I was upber pro Mayo till I actually watched a few games recnetly. Dude is a ghost on defense...might as well be intangeble

the fact that you can't even have an unrelated thread without some tool here bringing him up make me think that rational minds are few and far between. Bunch of emotionally weak, angst riddled people. I mean, how many times can you argue the same shyt

How about just one of these guys. While I like the idea of Randolph, I think he's still a bit farther away from contributing.
