after the rocket pacers game, suns vs spurs....maybe we'll get a real peek at lampe's game live since the summer league....

Eisley's been doing well for the Suns... is it that in the right system, awful players can look good... or under the wrong coach good players can look awful? i think in order to be in the NBA, you have to be a decent player... so i think it's up to the coach to maximize the player's talents and hide their blemishes. Clearly the best coach at doing this in the NBA is: Jerry Sloan. What players have ever looked BAD within his system? Maybe Ostertag... who'd probably look completely AWFUL on every other team. i'm totally convinced that if Sloan can't make a player look good as a Jazz player, that the player would be a failure anywhere else.

I think Eisely is looking good because he's on an athletic team now. All he has to do is pass it to them while they are on the run and they score. On the knicks he would hand it to H20 and he couldn't get anyway. Eisely needed to drive and kick like Frank and Steph do but he doesn't have that ability.

eisley looks serviceable not good but ward looks good in his role with the spurs..

Lampe looked a disaster tonight in his short stint, but the kid moves well and he may be a good player when given time, but I really think he is a outside player and the knicks tried to make him a post player which he is clearly not, even he said he likes the outside. I think Zeke saw this, and probably didn't see the value of another jump shooting big man... we have enough of those..

Lampe is only lookin bad cause he's nervous and eager. I think this kid will be one hell of a player someday

right so it's a good thing we kept Sweetney. Hopefully he can get in shape and develop into the low post threat we need.

lampe has great post moves actually. lampe has a great outside shot, but is not fast enough to defend 3's on the perimeter, which is what makes him look like a bad player. The kid is seriously good in the post. He has hook shots, and back to the basket post moves. i saw these in person during the summer league. He has awful speed when trying to defend away from the basket and poor lateral speed that lends him to getting dunked on. As a center though, he's pretty good, especially since he could work the low post and not be exposed trying to guard a wing forward.

case I don't totally agree with you, lampe I think has no desire to be in the post, I saw all those summer league games also and he was getting had by the more athletic players in the post, he even made lonny baxter look like Karl malone down there. Lampe I think will be a good player but mainly a jump shooting big man, his hook shot is OK but not vs players his size that can jump because lampe can't jump very well and that along with his slow lateral movement will probably prevent him from being a good rebounder. But I think he will be a solid player... As far as sweetney goes, I think zeke sees a very good post player in the future, and that is why I think he is holding on to sweetney, good post players are at a premium now...
