I don't really know what to make of it - Gallo being on the floor opens things up for the rest of the team - his presence helps space the floor. At some point, teams are going to have to focus more of their attention on Amare and that'll be Gallo's day to shine.
I can't really say what Gallo's doing is a problem - we're winning, baby, and that's what matters. Two schools of thought:
* he's not showcasing his full talent, which hurts in terms of using him as a trading block to get Carmelo.
* if our intent is to keep him long term and we do believe he's got all-star potential in him, it'll be good from a contract perspective if he stays this way for another year to avoid having to give him a max deal!
Of course, maybe this is just what he is - maybe this is his upside (don't think so)... but I don't think anyone is convinced that he's capable of being the #1 or #2 scorer on a winning team yet.
