I was surprised to hear this was going to be a big issue among players. I mean the players are really self-employed entities--I would think they would stick with as much maximum pay/years benefits as they can get. I think having kids come in from high school hurt the sport a little bit. Yes there are kids who can do it--but for every kid that can---2-3 can't but do anyway. Its not beneficial to the end product which coincidentally pays them. I think an age limit of 20 or 1 year removed from college is a bare minimum necessity for the good of the league long term.

im all for u.s. highschool kids turning pro (dont they turn pro in europe at like sixteen). i only wish the nba had a much improved minor league system for the kids to develop, that is the big advantage europe has over the states.
