I cant see the Knicks removing him from the starting line up anytime soon--the guy when given 38 minutes is a two way all star. Smooth diverse scorer great rebounder high quality defense and good ball handling--team player.

Not if he keeps taking 5 3-pointers a game he isn't.

I remember including him in every possible trade scenario during the summer, mainly cause he was a RFA.

Now, I want to trade for Melo so we don't lose Chandler over the summer and can resign him.

He's easily our best two-way player, and amazingly, can play/defend 3 positions. That's crazy versatility. He's probably the weakest at defending SG's, but he's still better than say Jamal Crawford or a handful of other SG's in the league.

I like him off the bench. Right now it's a coin flip between Jason Terry and Wilson Chandler for Sixth Man of the Year. He's really excelled at his role. He can really focus on being the best basketball player on the second unit, as opposed to trying to fit a position.

Please stop sleeping on this guy. Still makes mistakes, but all this guy does is leave it all out on the floor, every game. It's amazing that we make allowances for other guys on this team, but are sooooo willing to include Chandler's name in every move that we think we need to make, even after 19 games. You get defense, offense, effort, versatility and NO attitude. It's a rarity in this game. Let's look on him as another cornerstone, as opposed to a trade chip.

he averaged 36 mpg last year & put up 15 / 5 / 2 but you think if we gave him 2 more mpg he'd be an Allstar.

The Mayor is developing his drive game more this season. At 6'8, 245 who is getting in his way?

Yes, he WILL dunk in your grill. He is strong as a bull, yet fluid enough to disguise his power.

Every year in the league his ststs have improved, and now he gets the benefit of playing alongside a legit lead guard, a thinking mans off guard, a 6'10 prodigy and a forward who owns the painted area under the hoop.

Do you enjoy blocked shots?

Chandler is doing that as well.

Vote early and often.

He's also playing PF, as opposed to SG from last season. So where before, he would get the occasional offensive charge on small guards, or just dribble right into help defense, now all he has to do is get by the opposing big man to get a good look at the hoop. Kinda like how David Lee abused C's, Chandler is abusing PF's...except he actually has the bulk now to defend a lot of PF's.

He averages close to 19 points a game, 6.5 assists and 2.2 per 36 minutes according to Basketball-Reference. Those are good numbers, but there is a lot of competition at his position. Queen James, Danny Granger, Paul Pierce, Luol Deng and Gerald Wallace are also putting up good numbers. Still, his name would have to be include in the conversation.

winning is nice! wilson has controlled his own destiny well. he will either be traded where he will get a payday when f.a. or he will get his payday as a knick. love nate's fire, but nate had to scream and shout to get the kinda of attention wilson does by just being mr. smooth operator, letting his play and above all the Ws he contributes to, speak for him.

I rather have WC coming of the bench, it's a luxary to have such a versitle player who can sub for 3 different positions...if AZ can fill the SG position nicely, we have a honest shot at 50 wins

he's really good at killing teams with weak interior defenses, Nets being one of them. Despite his size Lopez is a turtle and always slow to help. Chandler is very fast and a very good slasher and finisher.

I prefer him off the bench because we need a center to start w/ Amare/Gallo/Fields/Felton. Chandler can come in then for any of the four guys who arent Felton.

If we could stabalize the center position Chandler should be the main bench guy but getting starters minutes for sure.

and by 6.5 assists, you mean 6.5 rebounds, right?

what Marv said.

People conveniently overlook the fact The Mayor left school very early. Just think of The Mayor initiating his game from inside-out, rather than outside-in.
