If we trade for Melo and lose significant depth as a result, what do people think of using the midlevel this summer on Crawford?
Again, this would only be due to losing some combination of Chandler, Fields, Gallo etc in a deal for Melo. We will need to replenish the wing positions and he is a solid option. Does everyone else see it the same way, or any different?

He's going to be 31 years old and there are going to be major question marks surrounding the CBA and what teams want to spend from here on out. He's a good role player and at this point you know what you're going to get. I see it as very fair value for him.

no.. all crawford ever does is shoot. How huge was Field's play today? Crashing boards, playing D, moving the ball. Crawford will never give you 10 rebounds. All he does his shoot shoot shoot.... I'll pass

Crawford?? We need a back up PG, why in the blue hell would we get Crawford?? Does AR need some competition for the lowest IQ spot on the roster?
TKF on Melo ::....he is a punk, a jerk, a self absorbed out of shape, self aggrandizing, unprofessional, volume chucking coach killing playoff loser!!

Crawford doesn't shoot at a high enough percentage to warrant his poor defense. You won't win any championships with him playing a vital role. He'd be ok for 15 minutes off the bench if the team is in trouble, that's it.
Rose is not the answer.

When he's hot, he can carry a team. When he's not, he kills you.

No.

The Knicks have Half Rookie/ Half Amazing Landry Fields to play the two. Unless you are strongly suggesting making Jamal a lead guard, what's the point?

The guy sucked as a knick. I want no part of him and his 41% from the field. At 6'5 that's disgraceful. He is one of the worst players in the NBA for 35 games every year. We can get a lot more value else where.

No. Nice kid, but his game is too undisciplined and no defense.

I would sign Craw if you couldn't get Melo... if you do get Melo, some of their skills are redundant and too many bad defenders on the floor.
Alan Hahn: Nate Robinson has been on a ridonkulous scoring tear lately (remember when he couldn't hit Jerome James with a Big Mac in early January?)

thats it. The 35 "crawfull" games you get completely kill any value in the good 45 games you get.

Johnwallace? What skills are you refering too? He's a 1-1 scorer and 75% of that scoring comes in the form of long jumpers.
