Mozgov has been M.I.A on the offense. I'm more than happy with his defense, makes everyone think twice (blake griffin was the exception). But we need to get him involved on the offense, he's a pretty decent free throw shooter so we need to feed him as he hovers around the rim

When Moz is on the floor, he usually tries to set on the ball screens. But he's a little sloppy setting it, moving away before the screen is effective. The guards never look to pass to him after his pick.

Seems to be a work in progress. I recall him taking a long jumpshot that rimmed out and mistiming (or just wasn't expecting it) one or two alley-oop attempts by felton.

My biggest concern is his rebounding. How could a man so tall and athletic not grab some rebounds?

Had enough Melo?

He needs to be taught, right now he's just a bunch of raw talent. With the right coaching he could easily be a 8-10ppg with maybe 7-8reb, with the minutes he's playing

I think his lack of numbers is more on TD than on anyone else right now. TD is mainly playing point when Mozgov's out there, TD never finds him when he is standing wide open under the rim. Felton too doesn't look for him. Only Amare and Gallo seem to pass the ball to him. The couple of passes TD has thrown him have been damn near uncatchable. We need to get him going with dunks so his confidence will grow.

TKF on Melo ::....he is a punk, a jerk, a self absorbed out of shape, self aggrandizing, unprofessional, volume chucking coach killing playoff loser!!

I agree 100%. Timo is not a finished product, but he can score on rolls to the basket, but not with the AWFUL passing that our guards have been attempting. This kid can finish, but we just don't look for him and the PG's seem to think it's him! I can only hope that one day we find a real Passing PG off the bench, cuz when we do this team will be bumped up yet another level. Right now TD is often the source of our drop off offensively. He tends to make some timely shots to offset his bad play in terms of setting up the offense, but if you really watch what happens when he's running the point, it's a mess. No plays get run. The rhythm of the offense disappears. TD simply must learn how to run a team.

TD can defend and score, but he does almost nothing to help the flow of the offense.

Ummm, he's averaging less then 13 minutes a game. No one is gonna avery 8-10ppg and 7-8 rebounds in 13 minutes.

His hands don't seem as sure as they did earlier, or perhaps our guards are not getting him the ball in the right position. I also think he is showing some rookie jitters at times, and his confidence has been dampened by foul calls which he may not understand.

I get very nervous when they give him the ball at the top of the key and he has to make a decision with it-we have to put him into low risk situations where his chances of screwing up are minimal, and the top of the key is not one of these situations, IMO.

Still, he is a good 10-15 minute player at this point, and I thought his D in the second Charlotte game pretty solid.

He also has to work on some moves in the post. A short turnaround J using the backboard and a short hook shot would be nice to see. I thought I had read he was working on the first first one in pre-season, but I've seen no evidence of it in our games so far.

i think his offensive game is going to take time, but at his size & athletic ability averaging 2.4 rebounds is disappointing.

His lack of effort going after the ball is concerning. His usefulness to us is in his size, fouls and blocked shots. If our PG's looked for him a bit faster and got the timing and angle of passes down, he'd be scoring inside a lot. He's often waving his hands for 2 or more seconds before they see him, if they even do. Me and my sons are screaming at the fact that our PG's don't look for him in the paint. He's almost ignored by the D initially.

The stupid NBA refs took his aggression away.

For the first month every ref in the league blew the whistle every time Moz breathed on somebody. The poor kid is shell shocked and doubting himself -- the NBA refs are turds with their star treatment and how they blow fouls on new guys.

i agree... i've seen him get looked off by our G's on a regular basis whenever he cuts into the lane... they don't seem to trust him at all... all they have to do is lob the ball into him & he'll either get fouled or get an easy layup... but regardless of this fact, the kid needs to get after the boards... we have guys that can score the ball, we need him to contribute doing the dirty work downlow & be able to relieve Turiaf when he's not in the game.

FIBA is not the NBA. This kid is gonna be fine. Give it time. Maybe even the whole season!!! Imagine such a thing.

He is a foreign rookie in the NBA.

What did you expect?

He's playing better than I thought he would this early.

He is doing what he was expected to do, block shots and change them. The rest will either come with time, or he will be a fine shot blocking specialist for a good 15 years.
A glimmer of hope maybe?!?

Nah... that jumper is smooth. The guy has athleticism and I think he's going to get it once the game slows down for him. Maybe a month or so. I expect him to be as good as Brook Lopez by playoff time
