You really think Fredette is going to slide like that? He seems like a definite Mike D kind of guy.

He's just a good smart player man. They play a similar style of basketball to MDA. With PGs at a premium--it's good to stock up on talent there.

Ill put my stamp on those guys--I already know who we are not getting becasue we are making the playoffs. My bet is anyone who really knows CBB would say thats a good list(albeit very early)--all legit players at our positions of need. Much more in my game picking around here.

PG's are at a premium and it's said the next draft will have a lot to choose from. I love Fredette but I really doubt he slides. But to have a guy like him on this team, I'd move up to get him.

I don't see our PG being anyone else other than Felton for 5 years unless injury. But it would be nice to have that depth there--hes a good player. I like Jenkins as well--kind of plays like Felton a little bit just bigger(6-3 220)

what about your boy kemba walker?

i still think we need more size/rebounding up front. find a guy who can play 4/5, especially if we still have douglas.

briggs faried is only 6'8" he's not a C.

The sesaon is young and it is far too early to say what will happen or whose stock will rise. Also where we will pick.

Some guys to keep an eye on. Not all of which will even come out this draft.
First two juniors
SF- Chris Singleton (FSU) 4 double doubles in his last 4 games one triple double where he had 10 steals 6'8" 220
SG- Devidas Dulkys (FSU)- improved handles a 40 inch vertical and a sweet stroke (this guy will be a 2nd round steal one day 6'4 200
PF Jon Leur (Wisconsin) 6' 10 230 and can shoot the 3
PG Corey Fisher (Villanova)a PG in the Felton mold?
PF Tracy Smith (NC State) 6' 8 250 early production down due to injury
SG Bradford Burgess (VCU) 6'5 225 and .45 from 3
PG? (Hawaii) Hiram Thompson 6'3 175 an early .636 from 3 land (now that's shot selection)
PG Brandon Knight (KY) one and done?
PG Nolan Smith (Duke) point size not usual position
SF Kyle Singler (Duke) no comment needed
C Fab Melo(Syracuse) No! the other Melo! 7'0 274 and 19

Bill Simmons on Tyreke Evans "The prototypical 0-guard: Someone who handles the ball all the time, looks for his own shot, gets to the rim at will and operates best if his teammates spread the floor to watch him."

I think Faried can play C in this NBA--hes a steal of a draft pick(he could replace Turriaf with more upside). I like Faried--I think the team that gets him gets a real good player. K Walker will easily be a top 5 pick.

Hold your horses guys! We've got a little thing called a lockout on the horizon. The greedy bastards that are the owners and the commissioner are conspiring to deprive us, ask we speak. What happens to next year's draft stock if this occurs?

I have to add Austin freeman in this area for this particular style of play off the bench--the guy is the best 3 pt shooter I have seen in a long time--so strong and smooth

Yeah Freeman could easily be another Anthony Morrow in this league with the ability to be a rotation player because he is such a could shooter. There are also a ton of 2nd round PG prospects who can become solid 3rd string options and can add the depth we lack. In the first round, i've been really into Mason Plumlee. He seems like a player who is a solid long-term PF/C prospect and with added strength can become a very good starting center in the league. I think he falls in the middle of the first round and not top-10 because he lacks the size and the true all-star potential. But he will be a very solid player.

I was thinking about starting a thread like this lol Fredette and Corey Fisher are nice players, but Kemba Walker is my man. I slept on him at the start of the season, But Walker has been playing like the best guard in basketball.

No way Walker lasts until 17. My two main guys are Fredette(oh really:) and Faried---take the PG first.

You're probably right about Walker. It depends on ho w many of the freshmen point guards leave. I also wouldn't be upset with UCLA's Malcolm Lee. He's big and a decent athlete. Plus, guards from UCLA tend to show a lot more once they are freed from Howland.

Yup, not having a 2012 pick could hurt us, if a lot of the 2011 class opt to stay an extra year because of the lockout.
