Is anyone else concerned about how many minutes he is getting? Thirty six minutes last night is a lot for him. The team really struggled when he was out. I love what he does on the floor but the way he plays I think he will get hurt and miss a lot of time if he keeps getting that many minutes.
I'm tired,I'm tired, I'm so tired right now......Kristaps Porzingis 1/3/18

He is like a coach out there. You can see him making sure Gallo is not forgotten in the offensive set. He even named Gallo as a key to the Knicks success in one of his post-game interviews.

I don't know what to think about the minutes. I think most of his career his minutes were cut due to other talent needing more time and some injuries he's had. I can't say that he's a guy that can't play starter minutes. The evidence could be circumstantial. It's so early in the year that I can't believe it's too much for him. Usually that kind of thing is cumulative. We do need to get AR and Timo developed enough to contribute tho. Just so you know, the last 5 games Ronny has avg'd 25 minutes a game! He's had a few games at 30+, but then you get a game here or there where he doesn't log heavy minutes and it can save him.

i would have to say that this past home game was sooooo important that Turiaf would have played 48 if it meant getting a win. Knicks were like 1-5 at MSG; fans needed something.

i have no problem with Turiaf seeing lots of minutes w/the way Moz has been playing... this season is all about making the playoffs after the 2 years we spent getting to this point... Turiaf is our best defensive player downlow & he provides a consistent shotblocking presence, something we can't afford to be without... the injury concern is legit but that would be the case for any player seeing big minutes in this rotation... hopefully AR can finally get into the rotation & show something so we can limit Turiaf to a more acceptable minutes load.
After 7 years & 40K+ posts, banned by martin for calling Nalod a 'moron'. Awesome.

IMO Timo will get it before AR. Timo at least fits in. He would be even better if they figured out how to get him the ball. Two low passes in traffic to a 7'er isn't giving the kid a chance to shine. He has a decent jumper, defends well and even tho he makes mistakes, he's showing some signs of understanding what he needs to do. AR can fill up a stat sheet far faster than Timo, but he totally messes up the flow when he's out there. AR's gonna need to simplify his game and fit in more to be effective. Once he does that he'll really be a HUGE help to this team.

I don't think he will every see alot of minutes consistantly, he's an agressive shot blocker, and will probably be in foul trouble on any given night. he's been playing his whole career next to other talented big men, so his role was so much different. At this stage in his career, he's getting a real opportnity to maximize his talent..he's always said he can score when needed, and has shown that (lots of timely buckets) plus he can pass.

I really don't think his minutes are a major deal, it's not like he's your PG/go to player, his energy and smarts are off the charts, and he looks like he's just fun guy to play with, because he wants to win and help other guy's shine.
