Pretty sure David Lee had some Player of the Week nods, particularly when he was nearing triple doubles in stats.

We're still making Stat and Lee comparisons?

Stat is on a totally different level, its really not close at all.

Exactly, Lee was too much of a liability and we were always playing 3.5 on 5 Basketball on the defensive end when he was on the floor. It was amazing how he would leap out of other people's way when they were approaching the rim so he could position himself for the rebound. Double doubles are pretty cheap when you do that.

TKF on Melo ::....he is a punk, a jerk, a self absorbed out of shape, self aggrandizing, unprofessional, volume chucking coach killing playoff loser!!

Lee was great, the numbers were clearly comparable, but there is no doubt that Amare has a much larger effect on the team then DAvid had. In 12 games we've already seen more fourth quarter blocked shots, key fourth quarter baskets, Isolation results during key moments of the game then we did in the 5 years Lee was here. In the fourth quarter when we need a basket you can give it to Amare. Did we ever give it to Lee???? No, it was Nate and Al that tried to save us.

Again, I love David Lee. He was a deserved all-star and a plaeyr any team in the league would want. He simply wasn't a guy that could carry a team. He was a supped up role player(in my mind the best in the league) and I think you are seeing that in GState.

I just hope that people will like me

pretty sure he out-scored and out rebounded Horford and Aldridge at the time.

Stop hating on Lee. On average he outplayed most centers he went against. I constantly see comments like: how many points did he allow. Well the same is true in reverse. If these opposing centers were SO good, how come they couldn't stop Lee??!!

Knicks....were hating on current and former players is always in vogue.

the fact that you can't even have an unrelated thread without some tool here bringing him up make me think that rational minds are few and far between. Bunch of emotionally weak, angst riddled people. I mean, how many times can you argue the same shyt

Asking how many points Lee gave up is a fair question. He never put his body on the line to stop a defender, unless you call waving your hands furiously defense. I thought Lee was overrated, soft and was on the bench in crunch time for a reason. He was a good role player and that's it. And please lose the hate meme. Seriously, you can't criticize anyone these days without it being referred to as "hate". If anything it shows people have too much emotionally invested in a player.
