...ensuring he's never posterized by anyone in the lane?

I've seen so many moments where no one on this squad backs down when someone's going for a windmill. Not Gallo, not Stat, no one. They jump and hang and stick with the play. They don't seem to get that look on their face like a tree's about to fall on them, and they're trying to decide which is the best path to get out of camera range.

lol

The only things I miss about David Lee are his outlet passes. Those were a thing of beauty for the break, especially from your big man.

As you imply, I would much rather see our guys get posterized on occasion than to see them back away from contact and basically matador the guy to the hole. Don't miss that shyte at all.

But I do miss the boxing out and rebounding. A professional's team mentality should tell these players that boxing out makes it more likely that their team grabs the board. When professionals fail to do the fundamentals of basketball, it looks apathetic and lazy. When they don't move at all, just stand there and watch if the ball is going in or bricking, they aren't in position to get the board and they aren't helping their team.

Other than defense, David seemed to understand that he should be IN every play if at all possible, an approach to playing that required effort and dedication to his craft.

We need a leader like that on this team, someone like Stat except who boxes out and hustles at ALL times. Fields seems like the only guy on the team right now who is bringing it, maybe Gallo somewhat, too. Anybody else?

I miss Lee no doubt!!

We drafted him and watched him grow...... As a Knick!

That tip in with .6 is a Knick classic and will remain through time.

But @ 12 mil a year ( WHich his numbers say he is worth every dime) I still
cant justify giving him that loot....

Now I know Amare' has not played like 100 million dollar man yet but the upgrade on both
sides of the ball is very obvious....

I give the easy edge on Handles FT shooting passing and rebounds to D Lee everyday of the week ... Anywhere
Its all Amare.....

Power? Amare ..... Shot? Amare....... Clutch? Amare..... Defense?.... No brainer thats Amare
Demand the double team? You mean triple team so far this year again Amare.... Star power?
Amare.... Three point shot? Amare..... Taking over a game? Amare......

D is where he is surely not missed at all.... Amare's man doesn't kill us every game.
D Lee's man ALWAYS shat on us.

And Amare brings it later in the season better then ever.... In Play offs he is a MAN CHILD

And we still never mentioned Turiaf AR or Azibuke

I say we are better thanks to Lee leaving and he even Knows that!

You are missed though man..... Maybe after we get our first ring we can bring u back!!

You're right, Turiaf brings it on D as well. Too bad his game is so limited. I really dig his attitude. He's a solid team guy and does lead by example.

I miss his smart efficient offensive play. I dont miss his defense at all, especially considering Amare looks eerily similar to Lee when he is guarding his man in the post. The help defense is a lot better, but amare appears to be just as bad of a post defender.

He learned that from Zach Randolph. He was the king of the toe taps.

I actually don't have a huge problem with Amare's post defense. It's not the best, but I think it's better then Lee. I have a huge problem with Amare's d on the pick and roll and after a switch. His defense is so token at that point that any good shooter is taking a practice jumper against him because they know he will just stick a hand kinda sort of up in the air. I love Amare's help D. I miss DLee's rebounding. To me, everything else falls in Amare's favor.

I don't miss Lee's penchant for laughing on the sidelines during a blowout. Didn't do it every game but enough for it to be a bad habit.

I glad I don't have to miss the way he guards Stat.
