I have missed feelings about this. I wonder if the answer is simply naming a new coach. I also wonder how much of the problem Dantoni is...

Youre right, I dont know how many times i screamed at my TV for them to stop shooting. If the Knicks were shooting fewer than 15 three pointers every game they would be above .500 for the season. Its really their biggest problem. Think about it, how often have we seen the Knicks deflate after a couple missed three pointers. They lose so much momentum, and that coupled with the fast break points they give up after misses are just killing them.

this is the gist of article:

And not to keep you in suspense, but I talked to a source close with real knowledge and it’s something I posted on Twitter.

Donnie Walsh and Mike D’Antoni are not on the same page and contrary to popular belief, even on my own part, Walsh isn’t opposed to dismissing D’Antoni especially if they bomb on this road trip. And, according to the source, Walsh would be able to name a successor.

Walsh is currently recovering from hip surgery.

The source says Knicks players aren’t happy, and why would they be, every game seems to end in the same result.

This is not to excuse them, they’ve been dreadful from behind the arc, but it seems as if D’Antoni has already lost the locker room and only a win can even begin to change the atmosphere.

The source also tells me that D’Antoni and Walsh haven’t been on the same page for some time and one can only speculate it may have something to do with D’Antoni’s resistance to play Anthony Randolph, who Walsh loves, major minutes among other things like the lack of improvement of the team.

Things are brewing, and this is not to say that a dismissal is imminent, it’s to say that it’s not a given that D’Antoni, should the Knicks continue to lose, will last all that long.

I expect there to be the same patience that Walsh has exuded since hes been here. But it appears it’s wearing thin.

And it may cost D’Antoni his job, again, unless the Knicks can do something on this road trip.

This wasn’t the right start.

the team has more talent than 3-8 we should be 8-3 with a good coach.

When D'Antoni and staff can't even admit that something they are trying is failing spectacularly as in jacking up threes, saying that there's no need to make adjustments, then you are begging to get fired.

The way talked today he is a dead man wolking... so this thing can have legs.
I was supporting Mike for a long time but get some feeling lately that he is not what I like any more.
Team is overgrown him and we need some harismatic coach with more emotions and drive.

My issue with firing D'Antoni now is who is going to replace him?

We really cant afford to be a lottery team this year.

as much as I dont favor a would-be coach who doesn't take that extra step of being an assistant in this modern day age, I can see Walsh going in that direction.

I'm up for anything at this point. At least Dolan has deep pockets.

Fuck it, I want him back.

We've sucked since he departed. We need him back to reclaim some old glory.

If we fire D'Antoni we are going to have to make some trades. Just because D'Antoni plays guys out of position doesnt mean a new coach will want that.

i think it's pretty obvious that MDA & DW haven't been on the same page since last year, from the way Jordan Hill was handled, to the way certain players were alienated & iced out by this head coach, to his complete inflexibility to alter his system to conform more to the roster that DW put together... he's got guys who aren't great 3 pt shooters launching up 3's at will... he's got guys who excel in the open court, uptempo style game trying to run the PnR & failing on every possession... he's got a kid like Danilo Gallinari who DW drafted, an all around game prospect, turning into a 3 pt. specialist... Anthony Randolph is just another example, MDA's got him shooting J's on the perimeter instead of slashing to the hole & playing off his athleticism & finishing ability.
After 7 years & 40K+ posts, banned by martin for calling Nalod a 'moron'. Awesome.
