Nope- he's off to have hip surgery and will be out of action for 2 weeks- we're officially doomed.

I don't really know anymore who he could get that would help us- every player who comes here turns to garbage.

In fact- a serious question here, which, if any, players would you say have excelled upon being traded for or signed by the Knicks over the past 10 years? I honestly can't think of any, but there must be some!

let's be fair here. 2 weeks ago you were gaga over a 50+ win season, and that was a direct result over the players that Walsh has brought in.

Those players have absolutely NOT played up to expectation. Got to turn that around. Whether it's coaching, player performance or both.

martin--Ive been fooled by this style of play--it doesn't work or you need really very specific players to run it. I think they have to realize this themselves--understand that we may need to change course. By the way he kept us perilously thin at 5--we couldve brought back Barron at a minimum--instead we have 2-3 players on the bench that make no sense.

it's not the players. it's the coach.

d'antoni loves 3's so much, when he sees a 2 win team come in as our opponent, he has to make that 2 into a 3. wakka wakka wakka...

Once Turiaf comes back I think you have to try Rautins just to see if he can knock down open treys for you. Its pretty amazing that we're this bad from deep when's that's the focus of the offense. I think the pressure of actually performing is getting to these guys. Once we're 20 games out, maybe that will change.

Alan Hahn: Nate Robinson has been on a ridonkulous scoring tear lately (remember when he couldn't hit Jerome James with a Big Mac in early January?)

we have a lot of good pieces here. Look at Gallo's play vs the Rockets. Several times he took Battier (one of the NBA's best defenders) off the dribble for sick dunks. Fields is a Battier clone in my opinion. Chandler brings a lot of good to the table. Mosgov isnt there (neither is AR) but both has good potential. Douglas is trying to do too much but as a backup PG, scorer off the bench he's very good. Amare is a 5x all star, etc etc.

This is better than a 3-7 group

If you want Douglas to take better shots take away his SG duties. Make him get his teammates involved.
