I'm out of ideas as to what can be done to turn this team around.
Get Turiaf back into the rotation once he's healthy.
Hope Azubuike gets healthy and we can play TD less minutes.
Just frikking let Anthony Randolph play through his mistakes.
That's all I got.
Im not willing to let AR play through mistakes like not getting back taking bad shots or giving 100%. Ive seen that from him. I don't think its all his fault but there is culpability that stops with him.
It's a tough call. Do you let AR play through his mistakes or instill a culture where minutes are EARNED?
My # 1 reason for letting AR play is that just from my observations we've been giving up a ton of 2nd chance points. Sometimes it's because we have 3 people looking to challenge/block a shot and it leaves no1 to box out.
Just took a look at the #s and we're 23rd out of 30 in rebounding rate.
Anthony Randolph makes stupid decisions. His effort/work ethic has been questioned in the past. He is a mediocre shooter who likes to shoot.
But he can rebound that ball.
Option 1: Teach him all that other stuff in practice and hope he can eventually earn increased playing time with improved shot selection and decision making.
Option 2: Throw him out there on the floor with a strict mandate of defending and rebounding. On offense tell him to move the F-ing ball and try to get putbacks or cut to the hoop and try to get fouled/finish. No crappy outside shots. Shoot the jumper if it comes to you, it's open and there's no time left on the shot clock.
Let's try to elevate the level of discourse in this byeetch. Please
