How many here would take him back if that's what it would take to get Melo? He's on a 5-year MLE deal, and he can't be traded till December 15th. Denver would clearly love to dump him if they're losing Melo since he's really the only long deal on their books. Everyone else is expiring for Denver and Billups/Nene aren't exactly bad deals (Billups is also a hometown favorite in Denver).

In all honesty, if we kept Douglas, Chandler (or Gallo), and Turiaf, and got back Melo/Harrington, I'd be all for it. We could then resign Chandler, and still retain our current depth. I'd also cross my fingers that Harrington, since he's not playing for a contract, will play like the 6th man from the 62-win Pacers teams, and not the Harrington we saw last season.

Gallo/AR/Curry/'Buike, 2014 1st rounder, GS' 2nd rounders
for
Carmelo/Harrington

Throw in Walker if Denver even considers him.

Leaves us with a lineup of:

Felton
Fields
Carmelo
Amare
Mozgov

w/ Chandler, Douglas, Harrington, and Turiaf to fill out the rotation.

Getting Harrington would all but nix any CP3/Melo/Amare trio, but getting at least the Melo/Amare pair, retain our depth, and still have Felton manning the point is easily a playoff team, and can be built for more.

As though we have a choice.

I'd take back Harrington to get Melo at this point.

Of course you take Harrington back. And he would be happy to be back, and we should be happy to have him back. He is a great player off the bench on a good team. He had too much responsibility on this team before. If we took him back in a deal with Melo he would have the perfect role on this team. Sign me up.

Just so you have the full picture. If you resign Chandler and take back Harrington in a Melo deal, there is no cap space to facilitate a CP3 signing.

That's what I said...?

Dude is a bit of a headcase but.. damn can he shoot it from outside.

Actually I checked his career 3pt% and it's .368. Weird.
Chalk it up to ?able shot selection?

Let's try to elevate the level of discourse in this byeetch. Please

I would HATE to have Al back here. Nothing about him personally, as he seemed like an ok guy. And it's not about seeing his hideous looking scalp every game, either. I just can't stand his obliviousness and mental deficiencies. The guy can be such a tool and can really mess things up. Doubt he has learned how to pass the rock since he joined the Nuggs.

If he were just a couple of years, then maybe. But all the way to 2015! NFW. Blech.

Al sucks and he's on the full MLE. Hell no.
Rose is not the answer.
