![]() I agree with you. The Knicks need to start their best 5. Chandler should be in the starting lineup. Randolph needs to start. Starting Fields sets a bad precedence good player and all but Chandler should be starting Gallo should be replaced by Fields or Randolph. Its becoming very difficult to carry Gallo very inconsistent player. But then most young player are inconsistent. It looks like Gallo is hurt again better to sit him this time then let the team suffer with his inconsistent play.
Would like to see a change in philosophy the Knicks rely to much on three point shooting. Knicks need to take Gallo out of the starting lineup and need to become more of a mid range team. Gallo has zero mid range game. The lineup that I would like to implement: Felton g I want to put a heavy emphasis on mid range game. And completely take away three point shooting to where if given take it, but try your best to pass it up for a better interior opportunity. I do not like depending on the three point shot that is a hit or miss game and to top it off it really means the team lacks an execution style of basketball. The way I was taught basketball was to look for the highest percentage shot and if you end up jacking a three that meant you didn't execute the plan of highest percentage shot it was fail even if the three was good. |

![]() I want to see AR bring the ball up more after he grabs the rebound. For a few series he grabbed a rebound and did a give and go with Felton that looked good enough to be part of their game plan. He does become more animated when he is allowed to play more of a role in the offense.
Last game AR got 8 pts/9 rebounds/2 assists/ 2 steals/ 2 block shots/ and just one turnover in 28 minutes. For a big man off the bench, on a new team, in his third game, those are good numbers. You can see it in the box score and on the court that AR is improving and starting to find a role on a team that is still getting its act together. |

![]() this current team is way short on rebounds and our only hope is that randolph gets serious minutes. douglas is not going to keep up his pace and mozgov is not the answer, at least yet. randolph has proven, in limited duty that he can beast it on the boards and we got a flash of that in the bucks game.
i'm in agreement that our season hinges upon randolph. if he takes a step forward, whether it be just staying healthy, or improves his shot selection while maintaining his rebounding/block rates, we can write our ticket to the playoffs. |

![]() AR played a nice game in mostly garbage time.
Last nite we got knocked out in the first period. Let AR find his legs and perhaps do a thing or two under pressure before we trust him more. He is a big part of this team if he can live up to his expectations. Same for Gallo naturally. The Moz IM less worried about as he is still very raw. His first 7 games haver really been great for a kid who never played in the NBA before! Turiaf is more polished and gets the bulk of the minutes. What ever Moz contributes is a bonus. Rony is hurt now, which is typical Rony. He does nto play 82 games. We have to cointinue to develope MOz on the run. As far as putting our best 5 out there, I think its a chemistry thing. Its what they do best and the chemistry they bring. Wilson is not compatable with all players on the team. 2nd unit is better with him and maybe the first does not. 7 games in we are one under .500 which is about where we HOPED to be. Nobody said its gonna be a piece of cake. Last Night was awful. Gotta shake it off and bring it tonite at home. |

Have we dismissed Gallo as the season hinges on player. I know I have dismissed him. If you are relying on three point specialist then the Knicks are in trouble. |

![]() When we had both Gallo and Randolph added to this team--I thought wed be very difficult to match up with. So far both players have not fit well and have shown other negatives beyond that.
Right now I would commit to playing Turriaf(25 minutes) Amare Chandler Felton and Fields 35 minutes(starting line up) with a bench of Mosgov Randolph Gallo and Douglas(as sixth man garnering 30 minutes)-- not necessarily a bad thing. That gives our vets the most minutes and hopefully inspire our younger players to come in and play with much more energy passion and intelligence--all of them. I think a set rotation of 9 is the way to go with the majority of minutes to the vets as I said and letting the young guys earn more. We have too much rotation instability RIP Crushalot😞

Agree somewhat..I don't view Gallo as the 2nd banana on this team or anything close to an all-star..That doesn't mean I'm dismissing him -- I think he's a useful component. In fact I wouldn't even remove him from the starting lineup. I'd keep him out there because like some of you guys have mentioned before, I do like his shooting stroke as a big weapon that opens up things for Amar'e inside...It could also open things up for Randolph as well. I'd continue to start Gallo and hope for the best..The big move I'd make however would be AR for Moz. 5 - Amar'e All I ask is that I see this configuation once before Donnie & Mike ever decide to break it down and go after a big-time guy like Melo in a trade..I don't ever wanna look back on AR and say "what if" you know? To me you go out of your way to do whatever's necessary to pave the way for this kid to succeed. If he starts playing better, regains his mojo and starts showing the flashes he's shown in the past, we're in much better shape. Between Gallo and AR -- with AR there's always the potential & ability to have a much bigger impact on a game with his versatility whereas Gallo, if he's hot like he was the other night against Chicago, he'll help, if not, he's not much of a factor otherwise as we saw last night..AR, if right, can go out there and get double-figure rebounds and 4 blocks even on an off-night offensively..That's if we can get him straightened out..Big difference is Mike's shown full trust and committment to Gallinari--he's one of his starting forwards and he's not going anywhere..I would like to see Randolph afforded the same exact opportunity..We give him that, maybe we finally start to see the player we traded for. I think it's worth a shot--to me, it's the shakeup move to make right now. I'd start him tonight against GS. |
