Refreshing to see a coach willing to be honest about a player and the player responding like a man.

But instead of pouting about it, after Scott ripped him, Hickson went back to work.

''I have to thank him for calling me out,'' said Hickson, who had never been publicly ripped like that by a coach. ''I think he knows the type of player I am, and I responded to his message. It was a wake-up call. It was my fault, so I couldn't get too mad at him. I got in the gym, watched film, studied the plays, and it's been all good ever since.''

Very different response then what we've seen the last few years.

It takes a reporter who actually cares about reporting on the team and doing some legwork, instead of relying on sources all the time. You also want someone who cares about the sport, itself, and is not just covering the team for a paycheck.
