I haven't checked the stats on this, but it looks to me like MDA is playing 10 in the first half, and then tightening things up in the second half. I thing that's very smart for a number of reasons:

* We get to see what we've got -- gives us a chance to evaluate whether Walker, Moz, AR, Mason are good enough to be in the long-term rotation
* Keeps minutes reasonable in 1st 1/2 for everyone so we can go with whoever's getting in done when it's winning time
* Gets enough guys into the game's rhythm so we don't have to be rigid about giving 2nd half playing time to particular guys -- can play the hot hand
* Keeps cumulative minutes reasonable for our top players; hopefully this will help keep them healthy and fresh throughout the season

I'm liking what I'm seeing from Walker so far. He hits tough shots after sitting on the bench for most of the game.

He's definitely improving as the games progress. He seems more in the mix on rebounds and his shot is sweet. But he carelessly turns the ball over at times He had one at least in Chicago's run in the third last night. since SL he has gone from to perhaps by March

Bill Simmons on Tyreke Evans "The prototypical 0-guard: Someone who handles the ball all the time, looks for his own shot, gets to the rim at will and operates best if his teammates spread the floor to watch him."
