Rose looked like he gassed himself and maybe it was pissing off his supporting cast. He is still young and still learning leadership and when to apply himself and when to get others involved. He seemed to be imposing his will effectively but not sustainable.Maybe his coach was instructing him to do one thing and he was ignoring him. It happens.
Barkley going off on Amare's 3 game stats was stupid. Kerr is obviously going to support Sarvers position because it was his position. Basically that Amare won't hold up in years 4 and 5 on his contract. Its a valid concern but one we won't know until then.
coming in 1-2 with our star not putting up stats had the makings of a bad game. That was a big road win for us and it earned respect.
Bulls will be better with Booze and we'll get better.
I don't understand the timeline Kerr is talking about. What is the history of players who have the same operation as Amare had. Who are those athletes that took a year to come back, came back too full health knee-wise, and then wilted after 5-6 years?
Kerr should also remind everyone that the reason they got Nash was that the Dallas organization that Steve would not hold up through his next contract because of injury problems; meanwhile, he is on his second PHO contract.
It really boils down to risk management. Knicks got more money than Phx and that knee is not insured. A contract like that can kill a smaller owner. Perhaps is Amare had lessor offers or the same he might have stayed. Perhaps he is genuine in his love for NY and "the money don't suck either".
I can respect PHX position as a business decision.
Knicks needed Amare a lot.
As for Nash, I believe his fist PHX contract after Dallas was like 65 million and was deemed very reasonable at the time. Dallas made a bad choice but it was the
system that really elevated Nash to HOF status.
Berman has an article that spells out logically if the Suns are setting and going nowhere Nash becomes available. He states (Kerr) we don't have the tools to get a Nash deal done like we don't have either for Carmello. Berman being a ***** says nothing to the fact that Nash might have trade clause and I doubt he goes anywhere he does not want to. Personally I like him and would enjoy him in a knick uniform but his elite days are likely behind him but I could see him for us to go deeper in the playoffs. That scenario is not in the present. Nash would be wise to get to a true contender like the Magic as Nelson seems to get hurt often and they have a similar type game. Nash as backup is a better alternative than White Chocolate and Duhan. Nelson could start but its who finishes that matter.
If knicks go all in with trades that elevate our expectations then perhaps. If felton is doing the job I doubt you make a move. Of course HOF-MVP Nash is better but its the circumstances.
I like Nash on the knicks but it depends on the price and the Circumstances. Can't just get Nash as a starphuch addition after you gave the team to Rainman. Unless you trade the Rainman for Nash. Thats not gonna happen.
