Quickly becoming my favorite Knick.

He's playing like Shane Battier 2.0 out there. Doesn't force shots, finds open teammates, and plays good D. Would be HUGE for us if he can sustain this considering the bad luck we're having so far with Gallo/AR, two guys who are supposed to be cornerstones for this franchise. If Gallo and AR get going and Fields continues to play like this, then the team's future looks awfully bright. Of course, that's a bunch of ifs but they all seem possible.

"This is a very cautious situation that we're in. You have to be conservative in terms of using your assets and using them wisely. We're building for the future." - Zeke (I guess not protecting a first round pick is being conservative)

3 game sample is too small, but still encouraging. His WP (wins produced) is high cause the stat values possessions more than anything, so a guy like Landry who's only recorded one turnover, has had good shooting efficiency, and gotten us some steals is going to look like a diamond according to WP. Same with Chandler who's been a beast on offensive boards and blocks (extra possessions). Amare is in the negative solely because of the all those turnovers, and honestly, those turnovers probably cost us the two losses, more than Gallo's ****ty play.

I am rooting for him... I love it when key players that "shouldn't be in the league" emerge

We only played 3 games, can't see how you can make a honest assesment base on a few stats..

Me too, especially from great schools like Stanford. He's turning into the "thinking" version of Ill Wil.

there is nothing not to like. Plus its equally wrong to watch Chad "Darko could be the best player in the draft" Ford flounder over this stuff.

knicks1248 - you might want to recheck the following certified, bonafied and qualified evidence:

1. Solid career as team leader at Stanford

2. Stanford does not graduate dummies

3. Donnie Walsh is no dummy

4. 36 inch vertical defies scouting snapshots

5. Solid Summer League performance

6. Wears a stylish Knicks snuggie

7. Auhors blog during training camp proving he can multi task

8. "When Landry Fields is on the floor, good things happen" - Walt "Clyde" Frazier

I like the Chad Ford quotes. Fields was not on any of the predraft sites that I go to and I was really upset when he and Rautins were picked with the guys that were on the board. I am glad I was wrong. I am still not very happy about Rautins.
