I'm beyond fed up with players who lie and pretend they intend to come to New York, just to get a better deal elsewhere. I didn't even want Parker, but it still annoys me. I don't believe Carmelo either, though to be honest I'm also getting rapidly bored with his BS too- either make a clear stand or shut up- what he and his management team are playing at with these vague hints, followed by strong but slightly ambiguous statements, followed by retraction, I have no idea. Rant over!

Anyways, Felton seems to be doing okay so far (though I hate watching him dribbling the ball- it look sloppy and I'm always suprised he doesn't get it stolen more often)- so we can turn our attention away from PG upgrades and look at other stuff- Parker wouldn't of added that much to this team.

He is with a great organization. The Knicks are trying to become that again. He doesn't need to leave to win or play with hall of famers or for a great coach.

Didn't want his arse anyway. Secure Melo, then add a solid SG.

This really surprises me. Parker is definitely just following the money because the window in SA is nearly closed.

I was high on Felton coming in but also wanted Tony if we had a shot at getting him for Felton and change. So far Felton has disappointed me and now we have one less option. We definitely need a solid PG, maybe Felton will get there, it is still too early. But he clearly is not doing well with the PnR.
TKF on Melo ::....he is a punk, a jerk, a self absorbed out of shape, self aggrandizing, unprofessional, volume chucking coach killing playoff loser!!

so far through three games, I think Raymond is doing pretty good given he's in a new system with new team mates. We're talking a small sample, but his scoring is up, turnovers aren't that bad and his assists are low by 1-2 to where you'd expect them- and I think that will improve as the season goes on. Also, his shooting through three is on par with last season.

True, I am also very hopeful he will work out just fine for us. But the PnR has been ugly and that is just fundamental stuff you want your PG to be an expert on before he even steps on the floor for a NBA team. Right now our offense stagnates when they give the ball to Amar'e almost near the 3 pt line. When he does penetrate he doesn't look to pass as much or loses track of who is where on the floor. Or at least that's what it's looked like.

A guy took his extension instead of coming to NY? Surprising.

how can this surprise you? seems like a pretty easy choice to make...let's see if I'm Parker, do i:

A) resign with the spurs and enjoy the last few years of my nba life on a team that has always been good to me, given me rings and allowed me to play my best bball

or

B) go to a new team in NY where who knows what the future holds and i may play my last years out on a 35 win team.

with all the incentives and bonuises that the playoffs bring to teams and the knicks really being in the grey at least until carmelo decides his future, why would his re-signing with the spurs surprise anyone?

its a no brainer if you ask me. and besides, he never said he wanted top be in NY - only thing about NY that was said was he thgouht it was a great city. Eva's been recruited to go to NY more than Parker.
