Sweetney, 6-8, 275-pounds, was placed on the Injured List with left Achilles tendinitis. In 13 games played this season, the NBA rookie is averaging 1.5 points and 4.9 minutes.

That Chaney and Layden allowed him to remain in that condition without imposing fines or some other discipline is inexcusable.

what's done is done. now that zeke has inherited "FAT BOY SWEETS" he needs to put that azz in gear. he had a nice first step in g-town. he needs to regain that.

That's if he doesn't get traded first. I thought he was gonna get a little PT but now, I guess not.

If he doesn't lose that weight and get in shape QUICK, he'll be outta here either by the deadline or during the offseason.
Another season, and more adversity to persevere through. We will get the job done, even BETTER than last year. GO KNICKS!

being a sweetney from when he played in g-town, i really hope he's going on the il to get into better shape and learn some more skills and gain knowledge about the nba game from aguire. i hope he's not going there because isiah is thinking about trading him. i would really like to see the knicks work with a rookie to get to know his full potential since pat ewing. i really liked how he played with the hoyas but seriously he's in the nba now, he's gotta get rid of all that fat and really start to adapt to the nba game.

Wow....an NBA rookie who sat on the bench and got fat - something must be done. Zeke will handle it.

My conditions for his success included a work ethic. How can a professional athlete be out of shape.. especially in the running environment that is the NBA? His father passing away might have something to do with this... but he has to be accountable. What a waste.

sweets is going to come back next season, and everyone will be like "who the **** is that?" - we're going to pleading wilkens to put him in the rotation like we did with frank this year. and if aguirre really is that high on him, then he will get a chance next season.

Yeah but it will make him stronger. He still has time to get his act together and make a solid contribution to the team this year. If he doesn't, he will improve his conditioning over the summer and pan out well next season.

they have to monitor him. he was so effective in the summer as the low post threat that i thought he would solve our post scoring question. maybe he still can but if he is oliver miller fat he will be unbelievably slow around the basket. in college he had solid post moves so there is definately some potential.
