Agree, but Amare also has to recognize what is going on and look to kick it out or dish it to someone who is open near the basket.
Our jumpshooters open up the middle, but Amare also has to find them within the flow of the offense.
I mentioned this earlier, but the most egregious case of not playing with your head up was the reviewed play near the end of the game. Gallinari was basically standing uncovered under the basket, and Amare did not seem him because he was intent on dribbling.
Jack also timed one of his spin moves and came up with a steal at a critical time in the game.
Amare, if things go right, should be able to average about 3-4 APG this year, but he has to have the mindset to do it.
I chalk it up to "first regular season game as a Knick pressure." It was good to seem him wanting to take charge though.
