According to information available on Bleacher Report, the Nuggets, Cavaliers and Knicks could be making progress on a potential trade involving Carmelo Anthony and Anderson Varejao. The original source of the information appears to be an ESPN report.

No details are provided but if such a deal is reached, it is likely that Varejao, a big man whom Denver is known to covet, would be sent to the Nuggets while Anthony is moved to the Knicks, the team that is the superstar's preferred landing spot.

The other pieces in the proposed trade are unknown but figure to include a combination of New York's top young talents -- Danilo Gallinari, Anthony Randolph and Wilson Chandler -- some or all of whom the Knicks may be willing to part with in a blockbuster deal that brings Anthony to New York.

The trade would likely also include the Knicks conveying at least one first-round draft pick, which could be their own and/or one acquired from a third team using one of New York's assets.

I know that! I just put it out there because it makes sence. This is a way for Cleveland to get back in a way at LeCon. Making the Knicks stronger in the same division with Miami and Cleveland getting a possible great future player from us.

Whatever, works. The idea that Melo is really focused on joining anyone besides Amare on the Knick roster is mildly amusing. I'm not saying he and his people haven't scoped the roster and had thoughts about who they'd like to play with, but Amare is the main teammate-based reason he'd be looking at NY. The main reason though is probably La La wanting to base her career out of NYC. Again, if that's what gets Melo to NY, I'm down.

that's the thought that crossed my mind too... Dan Gilbert getting back at LeDouche by helping the Knicks get Melo... that would be sweet irony.
