Realgm.com Trade ID# 1431194: Here is the shake down, its a 3 way deal, i don't know how to cut and paste so here it is. NYKNICKS trade: Anderson & Sweetney to the Bulls for Crawford & Jerome Williams / NYKNICKS trade: Harrington & Frank Williams to Cleveland for Miles / NYKNICKS trade: KT, MUTOMBO & PENNY to the Blazers for Wallace & Patterson !!! Now if you look at it every team gets something it needs so that makes this trade a REAL POSSIBILITY !!!! We look like C=DOLEAC / PF=WALLACE / SF=KVH / SG=H2O / PG=MARBURY with a bench of [C=??? / PF=WILLIAMS / SF=MILES / SG=PATTERSON / PG=CRAWFORD Now that is an ATHLETIC TEAM!! We will need to sign someone to play center because after the trade our roster will only have 11 players !!! But this is what you get when you want this kind of deal !!!
What does DICK CHANEY & DON CHANEY have in common ?? They both accidentally fell into a job they don't deserve & really suck at doing it !!!! Both need to be fired !!!

why does getting a deal to work in RealGM based on (bad) rumors from newspapers that never come true mean a big deal is in the works?

I thought Penny coulddn't be traded for 60 days.....RealGM doesn't check for that?

wow, that is a big (time) deal. but three words for ya. chem is try. let's see if they can jell and then maybe you could smell the roses. the knicks want the play-offs this year, not the next decade! i wonder if players like that could find a way to jell or how much time they'll take. if it does happen, you know what, i hope hope they do because they will be playing for our knicks. though i think it can't happen because of the reason the andrew mentioned.

Oh yeah, I just noticed that. Penny being part of that deal kills it.

Also, I don't believe that any major trade will go down without either Allan or ya boy KVH involved.

Yo K9, run the trade ideas through RealGM, which will only approve the trade if the numbers match. It will also notify you when players are bound to trade restrictions.

all real gm is, is a calculator... It checks salaries against salaries... not needs, not potetial, not talent... I kinda doubt Isaiah, Dolan and the rest of the front offices in the NBA check with RealGM.com before pulling the trigger on deals.

Well nobody knows or cares what the Knicks use to calculate trades as long as the moves benefit the team. However, if you know a better Trade simulator better than RealGM, feel free to post the link. If not, then you go right on ahead and use your little calculator, okay? The rest of us will use RealGM. Thanks.

Geeze HARDCOREKNICKSFAN.....a little testy aren't we? I think rmccarthy10's point was just because it works on RealGM it doen't mean teams would do it....and it was run through RealGM without a problem.

...Thought u actually meant a trade was going on...not just a proposal. But anyway, I would hate it if we made those trades. Doleac as a starting center?? Center right now is are weakest position, if we make any trades we should atleast go for a tall 4 or a 5.

OK, but I never said that the teams do it. I Said "run the trade ideas through RealGM, which will only approve the trade if the numbers match. It will also notify you when players are bound to trade restrictions".

We all know that it's a calculator. I stated what it is that gets calculated in the first place. My response was both concise and justified. I took the high road, Andrew.

OK K9, you made that deal happen because you BYPASSED the trade restriction. It cannot realistically happen. Penny has to be here for 60 (sixty) days. By the time the restriction is lifted, the trade deadline would have already passed.

Come on, man. We aren't all as wet behind the ears with the RealGM trade checker as you think.

I'm sorry but these trade proposals are just dumb. First of all, if the Bulls aleady rejected S.Anderson and F.Williams for Crawford and Jerome Williams then they would definitely reject Anderson and Sweetney for Crawford and Williams. Second of all, Cleveland already offered Miles for Harrington and Frank and IT said no. Why couldn't you come up with a original trade instead? Third of all, there is no way Portland would trade Sheed and Patterson for KT, Mutombo, and Penny. GM John Nash has already and said he doesn't want any bad contracts back and Penny of course has a bad contract. Plus, Portland wouldn't make this trade anyway because they can easily get a better trade since a lot of teams have interest in Sheed.

I also forgot to mention (and as everyone else has already mentioned) that the trade for Sheed can't happen because Penny can't be traded until March 4th, 2004 which is past the deadline.

Uhhh that trade is ridiculously stupid. We wont have a front court. Although getting rid of Penny's enormous contract is a plus, Sheed + Patterson isnt such a good combo.

Again, ill repeat: Isiah should just wait till a badboy center comes into the league/becomes free agent/wants to be traded. The back court is as developed as it could get. Trade the extra players and bad players for some nice PF/C.

As far as a center goes, anyone know how long Tyson Chandler supposed to be out for? There was an article saying Paxson, whose said curry and chandler were untradable, has taken back that statement.

Knicks were turned down an anderson & williams for crawford and williams trade...knicks should consider chandler
