with cut day tomorrow....time to trim the roster. Can't say that i've seen PEJ or Williams at all but i guess one will make the cut. PEJ does have the Karma thing going...but this kid won't play except garbage time, and even then he has better players ahead of him on the old depth chart.....so why would we even keep him even though we are talking 15th sopot here

OTOH, Cleveland just cut Danny Green. Don't know much of him but his profile does lead me to believe that he is an MDA/Walsh type player. Guard/forward lock down defender with a good shot mechanics, spaces the floor, moves well without the ball. This kid could develop into a nice role player, so why not keep stockpiling good assets. Seems a better upside then Ewing for the 15th spot. Anyone know anything on this kid?

Green played all four seasons at North Carolina, playing in more games (145) and winning more games (123) than any Tar Heel in history. As a senior, the 6-foot-6, 210-pound guard/forward averaged 13.1 points on .471 shooting, including shooting .418 (77-184) from three-point range, 4.7 rebounds, 2.7 assists, 1.8 steals and 1.3 blocks in 38 games (all starts) as North Carolina won the 2009 NCAA Championship. He was named to the ACC All-Defensive Team, the All-ACC Third Team and the NCAA South Regional Tournament Team. The 22-year-old finished his college career as the only player in ACC history to tally at least 1,000 points, 500 rebounds, 250 assists, 150 three-pointers, 150 blocks and 150 steals and is the only player in North Carolina history to record 100 or more blocked shots and three-point field goals.

Green is good find though. If we did the Melo trade we would have serious concerns about depth and this would be a many for one trade. May be we can sign Green if that happens.

danny green would be a steal if we could pick him up for nothing. the guy hasn't come close to living up to expectations coming out of unc but he is a good shooter and would definitely help with the shooting on our team. i'd sign him and see if we can catch lightning in a bottle, would much rather him over pejr.

+1 to that. PEjr. plays some D, but otherwise he's a bit useless.

Off the top of my head, I think PEJ, Roger Mason and Rautins should be looking over their shoulders. No sense stopping with only player 15. If it's not happening for them, let's get some other role players in for a look see. No sense waiting for garbage time.

I like Briggs' idea about signing Earl Barron. We have a huge need a guy who can board.

was it on the game feed that they said they might actually release two to have an open spot to be able to have flexibility- but then couldn't you just release whomever it was at that time.

Surprised that he did not carve out a 10-15 MPG spot in the Cav's rotation.

I wonder what his issue has been.

Maybe worth a look if it is feasible. Did we ever have him in for a pre-draft workout?
