I never really understood the breakdown of how we don't have a first rd pick until 2014.

I know that we owe Houston a pick in 2011, and they have the right to swap picks in 2012.

Who has our 2012 pick? and who has our 2013 pick? What were the trades that lost us these picks?

No, we swap picks after THIS season, because we traded away last seasons pick in the Marbury trade. We trade our pick next season and in 2013, we keep ours.

We can't trade this years pick, but we're swapping it if we have a worse record than Houston. We ARE trading away the 2012 pick and we're keeping the 2013 pick, no swaps on that so far. The latest pick we can actually trade now is 2014 because we can't trade the 2013 pick because we did that with the 2012 pick. We can't trade picks 2 years in a row. So

2011- swap
2012- trade
2013- keep
2014- keep but we can trade it, but if we do trade it then
2015- keep

my concern was more about do we actually have picks to draft players with. I was under the impression we didn't have picks to draft players.
