Knicks forward Danilo Gallinari has heard his name mentioned in trade rumors, something he isn't fond of.

"Not good," Gallinari said when asked by Eurosport how the rumors made him feel.

"Look, I'm very happy here and I don't want to go anywhere else. I love New York, I love playing on this team, I love the coach and his system and the people around here. I'm in the perfect place and I want to be here for a long time. I don't want to leave."

Gotta be a distraction

Bill Simmons on Tyreke Evans "The prototypical 0-guard: Someone who handles the ball all the time, looks for his own shot, gets to the rim at will and operates best if his teammates spread the floor to watch him."

Stop playing like Brad Lohaus and maybe we won't trade you.

Unless you're so good that we could get a good player in return

Yup. Anything to explain away poor play.

I guess Mason and Randolph are worried about being traded too.

Really, people- have you forgotten last pre-season already? In case you have here is a quote from last year, written just after pre-season finished:

Prized prospect Danilo Gallinari did not shoot the ball with confidence or accuracy. He was 2 of 8 tonight after his Boston bust-out Tuesday and finished the preseason 15 of 49.

He played pretty much like he's playing this pre-season, but he went on to have a much better regular season.

Seriously he shouldnt be stinking in every pre-season. Can we expect some improvement since he had a summer to work on his game?

Yes. Especially during the regular season games.

It's all on the kid. He is young but he has been a professional and in the spotlight for years. He should be able to handle trade rumors.

I just don't understand his game at all. At the end of last season when he was putting it on the floor he was controlling the game and making plays. Now it's bombs away again. He needs to always be attacking.

Some of this has to fall on the coach and the system. Having a top 3 pf, c, pg and an allstar shooting guard in your lineup makes you look like an offensive genius. I'm still very skeptical of this guy. Anytime Nash missed time the suns would usually lose. I think it's pretty clear that Nash pretty much signed Mike's contract. I could be wrong but I need to see a little more out of our offense.

Whatever man. Gallo still has the talent to be our #2 scorer and I think there is way too much emphasis placed on these preseason games. There's a LONG season ahead of us and plenty of time for this kid to get on his game. If it's nearing the 20 game mark and he's having a horrible season I can understand panic, but we haven't played game one of the regular season. Of course we want to see him performing above his level of the last season. We want to see him driving and getting to the foul line. I just think we also need to keep things in perspective. It's way too early to make any kind of judgements on what he's going to become. Knick fans need to CHILLAX a little bit.

Not really ...they are fan-atics after all the team is supposed to be calm while we scream and curse at the coaches and refs and occasionally the 'bum' that missed that brick/open man/dunk

Most players shoot the 3 ball When open or available..gallo we give up a wide open lane or shoot a contested 3...

How many layups is he going to give up before he gives a hard foul..
The guy will avg 8 to 15 three pt attemps a game, that's ridiculous

I don't know if this rumor is true. As a matter of fact I don't think he said it, or he did not say it on the record.

All I know is Gallinari needs to do more things on the court well than shoot long-range bombs for me to like him as a building block on the Knicks after the trade deadline.

Good luck Mike D'Antoni, 'cause you ain't never seen nothing like this before!

You must be really annoyed at Brandon Jennings and O.J. Mayo right now... because Pres has been a disaster for both players.

Please don't follow up with your stale...

Jennings has not looked great stat wise but I like the way he is running the offense from the few games I have seen in the pre-season. Last year his shot selection was suspect.

OJ Mayo has also put up lack luster stats. I dont expect him to to do better than last year. Gasol, Randolph, and Conley are playing for contracts and Hollins already stated Mayo isnt getting any minutes at PG.

The one thing both of these players have going for them is they dont have anyone better at their position to compete with on their teams so they are going to major minutes regardless.
