MAN you beat me to it!!! I was gonna post this cuz it's finally an example of the fact that Mike and his staff do coach D, but you have to have players actually execute and hustle for it to work. We have a roster now with guys that give effort on D and that's why our D is gonna be better IMO.

On Offense even tho we will have some issues, I like Timo in the offense, cuz it shows why Mike likes to have players that can shoot at all positions on the floor. Timo's ability to hit shots is gonna be a big plus once he gets his fouling under control. This guy is clearly more suited to this team then Turiaf on the offensive side of the ball.

The problem is he shows a single play broken down. I watched the game and the Knicks defense wasnt anything to write about. Boston was executing their offense fine before Garnett got ejected. When I see the Knicks scoring from jumpers and the other team running pick and pops and scoring on layups I feel our defense is lacking.

What game did you watch? The Knicks were handling the Celtics when their starters were in - the Celtics offense looked pedestrian. The only reason the Celtics won is that Felton, Amare, Gallo and Chandler came out of the game for good towards the end of third quarter and the bench played a rough offense from then on out. Rondo, Pierce and Allen stayed in because they wanted to win on Pierce and Doc Rivers' birthday.

For this early on the defense is looking to be in good shape. Most assumed our D would be horrible and yet it's ahead of the offense right now. That is a good sign fof the future since we can assume that the defensive chemistry should improve once the rotation is set and they've played with each other more. Overall they're using their improved athletic ability to great effect. The added length is also helping to slow teams down. It's far from perfect, but it's a good start.
