The lesson was, we might have been able to tie him up for less money sooner, and have the investment pay dividends in
that he would have been an even more attractive trading asset than he was. If we'd locked him in at $6M per two years
ago, he would have been a great asset.
Granted its a risk. You don't know what you'll have two years in advance, and yes, we had a plan to free up space.
But we're in a different place now, and perhaps its worth thinking about.
