This man is in need of some kind of food supliment or somthing to help his decision making.

Faking an injury so your buddy can play? The crime is minor but those knees are worth tens of millions and the trust factor which was already low is really sinking.

This is the sort of player who should NEVER be allowed to play for the Knicks. A real, authentic, honest-to-goodness knucklehead.

while his intentions were good (he wanted nick to get some more playing time) he could have gone about it in a better way. faking an injury was not the way to go in light of his recent past, or at anytime for that matter. a leader, which he is supposed to be on that team, should talk to the coaching staff about giving the kid playing time and then let the coaches make the decision.

Shouldn't Gilbert be more concerned with himself being on the floor after all the bullshyt he put the NBA through? He's very lucky the game of basketball allows him to live a very extravagent lifetyle, becuase he's a goon when he's not on the court just playing.

This is why they test players IQ and profile their psycological make up.

Now we know why Areanas might have fallen to the second round. Talent can blind and the Wizards ignored things.

I think talent is one thing but the JR Smiths and other notable boneheads are not able to bring the true talent to the surface and sustain it.

Maybe why Lance Stephanson fell in the draft? Why Brandon Jennings might have been passed over by many teams (Not just knicks), why Hassan Whiteside fell?

Some times players mature and grow into the role (monta ellis seems to be a changed man) and others continue to be bone heads on and off the court.

Which leads me to AR. Seems like a good kid but the jury is out on his on court boneheadedness.

I laughed so hard when I heard this. I true WTF moment. Arenas is just a different dude that sees the world differently. I never thought for a second that he was a malicious guy, but he is definitely a nutcase.

At over 100 millin earned, he is a very wealthy nutcase.

This is why you do very severe due dilligence on a kid.

Brandon Roy was asked about the Blazers problems on offense during the preseason and he has a fix.

"I want the ball a lot more," Roy told Portland media, including The Oregonian.

Roy said he has spoken with head coach Nate McMillan about returning to the offensive style they ran during the 2008-09 season.

"I want to be maximized every game," Roy said. "That's a position that I'm strong with, with the basketball, and I'm extremely confident with it."

According to the newspaper, McMillan won't radically change the offense.

Roy's comments Wednesday didn't sit well with Dwight Jaynes.

Jaynes writes: "I thought by now we were finished with all this garbage. But it looks to me as if it's still Brandon Roy vs. Andre Miller -- with Coach Nate McMillan caught somewhere in the middle. And frankly, this is ridiculous stuff coming from the captain of your team. ... Was he attempting to torpedo Miller? Was it a veiled threat to McMillan to make sure he gets that offense changed? Or was it just an honest answer to a pointed question? Doesn't matter. It came off poorly and the random sampling of Blazer fans I've talked to who have heard it didn't like it."

Miller was frustrated with his role for the first part of last season, but insists he and Roy can co-exist.

"I think us just having a year under our belt, as far as getting to know each other on the court, will make us better," Miller said.

I think Arenas' heart was in the right place... I'm not as down on him as the rest of you guys are. He was suspended for the most part last year. This year will be very telling on whether he can be productive and whether it is his head or his injury that's keeping him down.
Rose is not the answer.

Same here. Obviously there were better ways to go about the issue. But I think it's a good sign that, unlike so many players, he actually cares about his teammates.

Good reply by Saunders. It got me laughing. I don't think Saunders is too fond of Arenas

When asked if Arenas would be available for Thursday's game against Milwaukee, Saunders replied with some unintentional irony. "We'll have to see how he feels," he said.
