Here we go: New York trades: C Kurt Thomas (11.7 ppg, 9.1 rpg, 2.0 apg in 33.4 minutes) SF Keith Van Horn (17.0 ppg, 7.3 rpg, 1.6 apg in 34.3 minutes) C Michael Doleac (4.4 ppg, 3.7 rpg, 0.5 apg in 13.5 minutes) New York receives: SF Rasheed Wallace (17.0 ppg, 6.6 rpg, 2.7 apg in 38.5 minutes) SF Qyntel Woods (4.6 ppg, 3.3 rpg, 0.9 apg in 13.9 minutes) Change in team outlook: -11.5 ppg, -10.2 rpg, and -0.5 apg. Portland trades: SF Rasheed Wallace (17.0 ppg, 6.6 rpg, 2.7 apg in 38.5 minutes) SF Qyntel Woods (4.6 ppg, 3.3 rpg, 0.9 apg in 13.9 minutes) Portland receives: C Kurt Thomas (11.7 ppg, 9.1 rpg, 2.0 apg in 42 games) SF Keith Van Horn (17.0 ppg, 7.3 rpg, 1.6 apg in 36 games) C Michael Doleac (4.4 ppg, 3.7 rpg, 0.5 apg in 35 games) Change in team outlook: +11.5 ppg, +10.2 rpg, and +0.5 apg. POR also gives us a 1st-round pick in the deal. TRADE ACCEPTED Due to New York and Portland being over the cap, the 15% trade rule is invoked. New York and Portland had to be no more than 115% plus $100,000 of the salary given out for the trade to be accepted, which did happen here. This trade satisfies the provisions of the Collective Bargaining Agreement. You have been assigned Trade ID number 1429864 Then to land Curry and Crawford: New York trades: SG Allan Houston (20.3 ppg, 2.5 rpg, 2.1 apg in 37.4 minutes) PF Othella Harrington (4.5 ppg, 2.9 rpg, 0.5 apg in 13.8 minutes) PF Mike Sweetney (1.5 ppg, 0.9 rpg, 0.2 apg in 4.9 minutes) PG Frank Williams (4.7 ppg, 1.1 rpg, 2.4 apg in 13.1 minutes) New York receives: PF Antonio Davis (9.5 ppg, 9.3 rpg, 1.6 apg in 33.1 minutes) C Eddy Curry (12.8 ppg, 6.2 rpg, 0.8 apg in 27.3 minutes) SG Jamal Crawford (16.9 ppg, 3.3 rpg, 5.6 apg in 35.1 minutes) PG Rick Brunson (3.0 ppg, 0.9 rpg, 2.0 apg in 9.6 minutes) Change in team outlook: +11.2 ppg, +12.3 rpg, and +4.8 apg. Chicago trades: PF Antonio Davis (9.5 ppg, 9.3 rpg, 1.6 apg in 33.1 minutes) C Eddy Curry (12.8 ppg, 6.2 rpg, 0.8 apg in 27.3 minutes) SG Jamal Crawford (16.9 ppg, 3.3 rpg, 5.6 apg in 35.1 minutes) PG Rick Brunson (3.0 ppg, 0.9 rpg, 2.0 apg in 9.6 minutes) Chicago receives: SG Allan Houston (20.3 ppg, 2.5 rpg, 2.1 apg in 37 games) PF Othella Harrington (4.5 ppg, 2.9 rpg, 0.5 apg in 31 games) PF Mike Sweetney (1.5 ppg, 0.9 rpg, 0.2 apg in 13 games) PG Frank Williams (4.7 ppg, 1.1 rpg, 2.4 apg in 37 games) Change in team outlook: -11.2 ppg, -12.3 rpg, and -4.8 apg. NY also trades to Chicago, Portland's 2003 1st round pick. TRADE ACCEPTED Due to New York and Chicago being over the cap, the 15% trade rule is invoked. New York and Chicago had to be no more than 115% plus $100,000 of the salary given out for the trade to be accepted, which did happen here. This trade satisfies the provisions of the Collective Bargaining Agreement. You have been assigned Trade ID number 1429899 We would probably be better off to wait till the offseason to make these moves since these trades would definitely ruin this team's chemistry for now. But we would probably have to do the Sheed trade now since a lot of other teams are going after him. Anyway, these trades give us the new athletic fast-paced team that Isiah wants. Our two major losses would be Houston and Van Horn but we would have a better team overall after the trades. Our bench would not take that much of a hit, while our starting lineup in my opinion would be the same for now, but it would be very good in a couple of years once Curry, Woods, and Crawford are playing at their full potential. Brunson was just a throw-in to make the trade work financially but he actually has had some decent games with the Knicks and I think he would be happy to come back even though he would probably get no playing time or would be cut. Plus, with this team, IT would probably take over as coach since it would be his kind of team. Mark Aguirre would also help turn Curry into the beast of the East. Our lineup would be: Curry-Mutombo-Trybanski Wallace-Davis Q. Woods- Hardaway J.Crawford-S. Anderson Marbury-Norris-Brunson I'm not saying that the Knicks will make these trades or that the other teams would even accept these trades, but if these trades went through, how good do you think this Knicks team would be?
This Knicks team would be able to win the title as early as next year.
In about a couple of years, this team would be good enough to win a title.
This team would be very good, but not good enough to win the championship.
This would be an annual playoff team, but no title.
In about 3 or 4 years, this team would win the title.
Dynasty in the making.
This is the Knicks we are talking about, they will never win another title.
Can you say lottery?

My bad, I'll repost the trades.

only the wallace trade would make us better out of those 2.

IN THEORY only though, he is a cancer to his teams and a huge baby. that guy is an S.O.B who i'd rather not have the honor of having a nyk jersey

houston is a proven clutch player while curry and crawford havent proven anything

No Curry and Crawford haven't proved much but have potential to be all-stars. Plus, they both can make an impact on this team right now, its not like they are only averaging 5 points a game. Crawford is averaging 17 point and 5 assists and Curry is averaging about 13 points and 6 rebounds. Give these guys a couple of years and those numbers will be up by a lot.

You already know how I feel about Curry and Craw, s3231. I am down with that deal happening for the same reasons. If we were to do that deal, we would be secrificing some experience for a potential upside that can be tremendously beneficial in the future.

The way we are now, as far as the coaching staff goes, it's much more a matter of teaching than barking out orders. We have a coaching staff that players all over the NBA have been giving props to. Young players like Craw & Curry can be molded into All-Star caliber players under proper tutelage (hint, hint...).

Another season, and more adversity to persevere through. We will get the job done, even BETTER than last year. GO KNICKS!

Thats exactly why I want Curry here because our coaching staff is good with young players and I think this guy would blossom here.

my favorite young players, guys who could really dominate one day... this would be awesome:

curry, crawford, woods. we'd rule. we have marbury at the point... we would rule...

dont know about crawford at SG. Woods COULD be a t-mac in a few years...

Curry is the guy who would make or break the team. He's the difference maker.

Exactly, this team would have great potential to be a dynasty and we would have so many trading chips. Plus, we would still have 2 vets in Marbury and Wallace who can lead the way. As you said, the only question mark would be Curry.
