If we sign Carmelo as a FA who do we have to let come off the books besides Curry?

I know we have to let go of Curry (damn shame) to clear up space for Mello.. Who else do we have to let go of???

Can we re-sign Chandler + Gallo + Randolph etc etc etc and still have room for Mello?

He's asking about cap space if we sign Melo as a Free Agent. Not trades..

Exactly. And as I replied, Chandler would have to go (due to cap space), if I am not mistaken. In other words, we need enough cap space to sign a max contract, and we won't have it unless we waive Chandler... something like that.

i rounded off some since we dont know the exact cap anyway. It's about 45 Mill which leaves us with probably 10-15 mill to sign melo meaning we still might not have enough even with just letting Will go. If melo is still looking for 16.5 we'll be short. I guess we let go of Rautins and Walker along with chandler and we might have just enough. We can fill other spots with veteran minimum contracts. Hopefully we can also move Turiaf and if mosgov doesn't produce thats another 3 mill we kinda wasted we might need.

Azubuike, The Mayor, Mason, Ewing JR, Shawne Williams would have to be renounced to sign Melo.

Turiaf has a player option too for $4M. I would guess that he would opt out.

why would he opt out? Idk what the market is for a guy like him right now but he's not that valuable. I guess anyone can get more than 4 mill right now. darko got like 5 per right?
