"Al Qaeda-inspired radicals in Europe are thought to be planning Mumbai-style coordinated attacks with guns and grenades at crowded venues. "This is real," said a former senior U.S. counterterrorism official who was briefed on the intelligence coming out of Pakistan. - NYDaily News

With the recent information about a terror attack being detected in Europe, is the NBA wise to scrap plans for additional exhibition games this week and put the Knicks, Lakers and Wolves on the first charter stateside, or should they stay and play?

Beef up security and let them play. These threats can just as well be made in NY does that mean we stop everything.

Much as I don't want to give in to terrorists...the teams are more important and security much more difficult to control. I have been worried they are the target since I heard about it.

I say cancel and bring 'em home.

Bill Simmons on Tyreke Evans "The prototypical 0-guard: Someone who handles the ball all the time, looks for his own shot, gets to the rim at will and operates best if his teammates spread the floor to watch him."

I just got back from Munich for Oktoberfest... I didn't think anything was suspicious or feel threatened or whatever. My travel habits remain unchanged--just don't be stupid.

France with its agenda outlawing the berka of late must be the object of taliban desire.

Might take two hours to get inside if security is good, but it just takes on joker to throw a live grenade on the court.

I'd say its the host country that makes the call and we just have to pray nothing happens.

ALmost have to think MSG is just at risk and has been for 10 years.

The court of public opinion has been sympathetic as little terror has been inflicted.

Man I live in Munich!!! Hope you had a great time here and enjoyed the good beer and good looking girls in their traditional dresses!!! ;-)

On a serious note... things here are perceived a lot less dramatic as it is in the states. Of course this may change in a horrible second but I hope it never will. Of course we've been also a lot more concious on the topic since 9/11 and the attacs in Spain and London like everybody else in the world but as you might have noticed even during the Octoberfest things here are pretty calm.
Actually I believe if anybody would want to do **** here it doesnt seem very difficult... yet I sincerely hope most crazy fundamentalists arent interested...

Im scared of the moment where I feel like adjusting my way of life due to terrorists... hope Ill never feel that way!!!

I wish I had known/remembered you were there!

Dude, I ****ing loved it. My father's father was Czech and died before I was born. Apparently he went every single year and thought it was the greatest thing ever. I agree. I'm hoping to get enough cash together next year to go and take my dad who's never been. Just awesome.

Hippodrom was full of smoking hot traditionally dressed women... if I go back, I plan on reserving a table there for a solid week!

Concerning the table better start looking for reservation possibilities sometime January/Febuary 2011!!! No kidding man!!!
