Paying no interest to defensive players, the stupid contracts to Mike Dunleavy and Troy Murphy (though he got lucky in that Larry Bird was desperate to trade for 'character' guys after that brawl, regardless of ridiculous contracts) etc etc- here is his track record: http://hoopshype.com/general_managers/chris_mullin.htm Actually, looking at that he's not even a good drafter- he selected: Draft 2005 Monta Ellis at 40 is cancelled out by the squandering of the 9th pick on a bust. Draft 2006 Bust! Draft 2007 Belinelli- Bust! Brandan Wright is on his way to being a bust too (though he if he's healthy he could prove me wrong) Draft 2008 Okay good pick, but not a difficult one to make. Thats a pretty poor record. |
