This trade BS will hurt our season. If guys continue to think they are going to be swapped any second--it provides a toxic atmosphere--the last thing I wanted for the team. After 10 years of thinking the team and organization is just God awful--we have a nice refreshing ray of light with a bunch of young talented guys and some stud vets. Now all the press is focused on this BS which flows right to the players--and this is NY they wont stop this sht all year like LBJ--but this will be much much worse because its fluid. This is not conducive to a winning atmosphere. All last year we had to hear about Lebron and now it will be Carmelo--and it scks.

Doesnt really matter. No more excuses this year.

Odds are Carmelo is traded before the season starts anyway.

if melo doesn't get traded during training camp, i think it might hurt our season.

but if he doesn't get traded this week - it does seem to imply he really wants to be a knick, which could help a lot next year.

Briggy, what your saying has more effect on the Nyets than Knicks. We were not heavy in the discussions. Im sure we made our play and perhaps Wilson is a bit edgy but thats the buisness then are in.

The better a player does, the better his value is for himself and his team. Professionals should be professional.

Melo will loom over the fans. The team can also do well and create a headline of "phuch Melo! Who needs him!"

If not, it gives fans hope. Enjoy the games.

I agree. Melo has no bearing on my enjoyment of the upcoming season. I am psyched to watch Stat and his yoots start putting shyte together. I am psyched to watch AR posterize Bosh with a rejection here and serve up a facial on Lebron with a jam in the face. I am psyched to watch the development of Gallo's inside game and see if he can start creating for himself. I am really psyched to watch a real PG run the MDA offense, no more Dolittle slow-hoofing it down the court.

This is finally year one of our new team. We all know the past two were rectification years. Now it's on us and it couldn't feel better. Do I think we are contenders? No effing way. But we may well make the playoffs and we will certainly have reason to watch games.

I really hope Brian Wendt comes back on here to stoke us up with some discount seating. And I hope by the time playoffs roll around, IGOI is trading at $25-$30 per, in which case I might actually by my kids some sweet seats for a game or two.

Let's go Knicks!

BTW, a little birdie suggested we will sign Melo next summer with our cap space.
