I think NY has never gotten over Riley leaving and would love to have him back. He really won over the hearts and minds of the fans like nobody else has in NY. To see him back on the MSG floor would be spectacular, however it is a pipe dream.

You forgot none of the above. Actually,in this fantasy world, I'd like to see JVG operating with a true point guard like Stephon whi can create in his half court scheme.

Stop the madness about Riley, already! Lenny is here, and he should be given a chance. It's not that big a thing though. Lenny will prove the naysayers wrong, and the same ones nitpicking at him now will be bumming for a ride on the back seat of the bandwagon later.
Another season, and more adversity to persevere through. We will get the job done, even BETTER than last year. GO KNICKS!

I had to put down riley wit those choices, except like HardCore said, Lenny is here. I can definately live wit that. But the one choice I thought should have been there was JVG. If he ever leaves houston,i would love to see him back at the garden. Maybe he could even bring back a guy named patrick

JVG's half court set don't require Marbury's talents. They just need a shooter and a dominant center.

Why would you want JVG back? Let's move on! There are plenty of coaches out there. JVG left cuz the going was about to get rough. We don't need any sunshine-coaches. Plus his sour-puss face got tiresome.

I like Lenny; he's a class act, respectable and knowledgable.
Always respected him when he was on the other side of the court.

good description of jvg. i personally, never really appreciated the way he coached. he got lucky with the houston shot, otherwise, he would have been out before he resigned. much before. new york really helped him out in erms of coaching recoganiztion by other teams like the rockets. i like his work ethic though. he really shined(other people might think so) and gave future hope to other people who want to come up to nba coaching ranks from where he came up(no where)

I'd like to see Phil Jackson coach the Knicks at some point...

ditto.

and I don't think this was a poll that is too late coming. firstly, i dont care how long the contract for lenny is-if he f's up, he's getting the boot. secondly, just cause here's here doesnt mean people are happy with him-i personally wanted a more intense coach to light some fire. but, hey, 4 game winning streak i can live with. though cheney did the same thing not too long ago.

When Chaney won 4 straight, it was his milestone as Knicks coach. It was a fluke streak with a fluke coach and a fluke roster too. Under Lenny, 4-game streaks will just be another week at the office. He's a real coach with a real roster(well, almost- Zeke's working on it) on a real streak.
Another season, and more adversity to persevere through. We will get the job done, even BETTER than last year. GO KNICKS!
