Have you guys heard about this?
Seems a bit too much for me.

I can't wait for a really important game where a player gets ejected based on this...

Let's try to elevate the level of discourse in this byeetch. Please

I'd rather Stern focus on things like: How do you stop playing a player like Eddy Curry who is utterly useless or at least just boot him to europe and get him off the cap.

I want to see a crackdown on flopping.

Is that going to apply to this board?
If you are still following the team and reading sites like this, there is nothing, short of your own demise, that is going to throw you off this train.

i like this. the gesticulating and "OMG I CANT BELIEVE IT" has gotten ridiculous. just play the game. imagine if after every strike or ball call in baseball guys threw their a hands in the air and did stupid stuff like what goes on in the NBA. its distracting and slows the game down, not to mention it doesn't do anything. thank you stern.

Nate Robinson should lead the league in something this year.
lol @ being BANNED by Martin since 11/07/10 (for asking if Mr. Earl had a point). Really, Martin? C'mon. This is the internet. I've seen much worse on this site. By Earl himself. Drop the hypocrisy.

So is this an attempt by the league to limit the 'stars' over-reacting to calls and exhorting home crowds into booing the refs and influencing the game?

And no mention of coaches

I think they need a warning before penalizing the player. What are they going to do about some of those BS calls? How about the ticky-tack fouls called for playing good D on the "stars"? Let it be because of your skill, not your name.

You may be on to something.

Our boys in Miami are sure to get the majority of the borderline calls and the league is gearing up for this by banning ALL whining so it does not look like they are favoring the Heat. The Scheme Team gets the call and the points which come with it, and then they get a point from the technical.

and complaining and whining would help this....how? explain to me how whining is good for the game? it slows things down, its immature, and it accomplishes nothing. watch kobe for an entire game. he takes a beating but rarely talks. does he talk sometimes? yeah. but on a whole he just runs back up the floor, will throw a ref a glance every once in a while, but wont run over in disbelief, won't complain for obvious fouls, and guess what, he's the best player in the game.

even if the scheme team (i like that) does get calls, complaining accomplishes nothing.

"scheme team" came from someone else on the site.

I hate the whining, and like players who are stoic on the floor, but figure that all the calls Miami should get, assuming the superstar treatment is applied, will lead to opponents whining and points from technicals.
