from Berman @ http://www.nypost.com/p/blogs/knicksblog/knicks_turiaf_trying_to_cling_to_JJkF0zdlErhcSkkSaPYlSL

Turiaf will start his second straight game at center, but that is partly due to Mike D'Antoni giving the fans what they want. Turiaf has not distinguished himself offensively and that could be a factor in him losing the starting job. D'Antoni admits athletic Anthony Randolph and impressive rookie Russian center Timofey Mozgov are nipping at his heels.

"Ronny's going to be an energy guy, block shots, very good defensively,'' D'Antoni said. "Offensively, that will come. He was out for a while last year, so he's a little rustier than normal.''

D'Antoni said he may rotate the starters this year in the pivot to keep giving them a new look. Clearly, D'Antoni is agog over Mozgov, but his inexperience and lack of grasp on the English language could make him hesitant to start him off the bat.

Center will be a big topic in Wednesday's game as Serbian Darko Milicic of the Wolves looks for his revenge. He fell early into D'Antoni's doghouse last season and never got out. When he was shipped to Minnesota at the trade deadline, Milicic shined and earned a multi-year contract that stunned the NBA

Mozgov vs Milicic ahh the sub-plots

Bill Simmons on Tyreke Evans "The prototypical 0-guard: Someone who handles the ball all the time, looks for his own shot, gets to the rim at will and operates best if his teammates spread the floor to watch him."

Just like Mike Tyson crawling on the mat against Buster Douglass, Darko will be unable to find his mouthpiece

Mozgov awoke from the dream and scribbled some notes on a piece of paper...a week later the paper finds it's way to MI6 ...one day later the Stuxnet virus is born.

Mozgov does not need a big man coach. A big man coach needs Mozgov

He does have to learn to use his left hand. Everything he did around the hoop was right handed and often the opposing center stopped it.
