You know i've been sensing a bit of doubt as to the effectiveness or our big man contigent. Well clearly our top guy is a given. Amar'e is a proven stud top PF in the league. Gallo is IMO likely to take a big step in his career. I don't believe we saw anything close to the real Gallo yet. This kid is maturing and with a summer where he could put in the work, I don't see how he doesn't move up into the next tier of good players in this league. He really has the full skillset and mentality of a star. AR hasn't been able due to coaching decisions and injury to really put it all together, but I think being around such a group of bigs that all give 100% is gonna help him tremendously. Turiaf from what he says, is healthy for the 1st time in a while and we already know he's a high energy guy. Then there's Timo. This kid is another guy with high energy and skills. Our entire bigman contingent is stocked with Max Effort guys. They can all run, defend, shoot, and rebound. I don't see why there tends to be the undercurrent of sentiment that we are lacking somewhere in our group of bigmen. We've got 5 guys that can bring it every night. 1 All Star and 3 big kids full of talent.

I think Amar'e and Turiaf will be good leaders for these young guys too. For the 1st time in years teams will have to be concerned with matching up with our bigs! Can their bigs keep up with our greyhounds?

Its going to be weird seeing all these big men on the Knicks, I got used to them looking like the JV team out there next to some
other squads. I'm really looking forward to this season, I don't expect miracles but I do expect the Knicks not to get treated like a
punch line this season.

Yeah I think Turiaf and Timo are most likely to commit a hard foul. The game is so different now, you really don't see that kind of thing and I'm not sure that teams could get away with much really physical play anyway. I'll settle for some nasty blocks like that one that AR had on Tyrus where he ended up on the ground crying in pain. That was an awesome block.

The Don brought balance to the Force. This is such a more balanced roster that it's not even close to anything we've been putting on the floor the last few years. We really needed that size considering how the better teams all have that aspect that you have to match up with. We may not have a great C but we have some real bodies to at least throw in there for a change.
