OK, I admit it, I was lukewarm when we traded for Marbury.
Yes, I know he's been an upper echelon PG, but I was afraid
that a) he would hog the ball, and b) bicker with teammates
and never allow any chemistry on this team.

I WAS WRONG!

At least about concern a). He is making other players look
great. Slashing and dishing (WHEN WAS THE LAST TIME WE HAD
A POINT GUARD WHO KNEW WHAT THAT EVEN MEANT?!) he making it
easy for Houston, KVH, and even Doleac to get easy mid-range
and long range shots! He is hitting cutters! Doing the things
point guards are supposed to do! He does shoot a lot, but then
again -- he hits a lot, and when he is averaging (on this team)
more than 10 assists per game, how can you complain?

Concern b) remains to be seen, but anyway, at least I can watch
a game now without falling asleep, or wretching all over myself.

peAce! be to Starbury! The first star-caliber point guard
in NY in all my years as a Knick fan, over 20 years!

the coaches need to vote steph to the all-star game. i still remember that great all-star performace he had a couple of years ago. he makes this look like they are the best in the east right now.
keep is up star and we will beat up on the nets in the finals or maybe the pacers. who ever it is
FRANK WILLIAMS should be an allstar. The BEST knick this season!

Yes.

I posted a long time ago that Marb and Kurt have Stockton to Malone pick-n-roll potential. I love it. It;s only gonna get better too.

Come on, let's not get carried away. I HOPE you are not comparing
KT to Malone. Malone was only the best power forward of his time.

Emphasis on potential. No direct comparison.

exactly. i was wrong, big-time. but is this just the honeymoon period that everyteam enjoy's w/ 'bury? or is it really real? only time will tell if we still like him in 3 years (the amount of time it takes for him to wear out his welcome)... but for now lets enjoy him being here.

You could argue that marbury is way better than Stock though... agree?

Hmmm... much better scorer, yes. And penetrator. (no puns please).

But KT couldn't shine Malone's high tops!

stockton was one of the greatest point guards in nba history. all time nba leader in assists and steals. he also accomplished a lot in the play-offs but just couldn't get them a championship along with his partener in crime (malone). the comparisons are really premature because steph is only 26 and he has not accomplished anything major in the nba. he's got a long way to go before being called better than stockton.
hope he does it with the knicks though

Stock has basketball iq and leadership over marbury. Marbury has better talent. Leadership can come. iq probably wont. =(

At the rate Stephon's going, he could surpass Stockton's accomplishments and break his records before he retires.

Hopefully he retires right here, and they can hang #3 up next to the Championship Banners he will have helped us earn.
Another season, and more adversity to persevere through. We will get the job done, even BETTER than last year. GO KNICKS!

If riles didn't insist on getting rid of Mark Jackson... I really think they would have broken through that "Bulls" barrier.

Jax, Starks, Xman, Oak, Ewing... nasty

I have to disagree with you there, my friend.
By the time Jax left, he was fat and slow,
and the Garden booed him regularly.
