I know Randolph his rookie year avg 16-11 the final month--what did Gallo avg on that nice role with 15-20 to go? One of which he outplayed Carmelo?

over the last two months of the season, about 23 games, he averaged 18.3 points by my calculation. not bad.

18.3 pts when you're supposed to be THE MAN on a high scoring team... eh.

I'll be impressed if he earns major minutes with this team through the whole season.

Alan Hahn: Nate Robinson has been on a ridonkulous scoring tear lately (remember when he couldn't hit Jerome James with a Big Mac in early January?)

He averaged 22.4 pts per game his last month (8) which is about the same as his first month. Between those months he averaged 13.68 pts per game.

Just go to:

Click on the player you want, then click on "split stats" and it breaks down their monthly performances. He had a good last 8 games, as well as the points he averaged 5.9 rebounds and 2.8 assists. If you look at the monthly breakdowns, he was very up and down. Bill Walker also had a good end to the season.

Your talking about sergio, duhon, and TD...They were freezing him out uh....This dude hung around the 3 point line for 70% of his time on the floor..Im not sure if thats what they had asked of him or not, but we all were quite excited when he was agressive and getting to the line, which wasn't nearly enough...Gallo froze his own self out (by settling), and MDA said it many of times on his show.

i imagine this is about to lead to the flawed reasoning that you can pencil in both AR & Gallo to average 16 & 11 / 18 ppg to best Melo's production this year... ridiculous.

gallo can be the main parameter scorer with amare inside and we retain the nicediversity of players we have---really we need no trade right now unless we can get a g on the cheap to cover for azu until he is better with randplh mosgov chnadler felton our d will be much much better so much better than having melo people dont undertsand that we have major personell strides on the d--i really do not see the need fort any trades

Yeah, you can't just look at scoring averages. Melo creates far more shots when you consider he can create in the post and draw double teams. It's not just the shots Melo creates and makes, it's the opportunities Opposing defenses have to create defensive game plans to deal with Melo. While Ar and gallo are nice players and may eventually reach that level, they're not there yet.

uh... wasn't david lee the man? and didn't al harrington take more shots than gallinari? 18.3ppg is pretty impressive for taking the third most shots on the team over that span.
