Anyone know how many all stars they pick for each team...MArbury is 5th in guards. It be great if it was like 5 guards, 5 forwards, and 2 centers.

I think it is like that Matt, 5 guards, 5 forwards, and 2 centers. However, Marbury is really 6th of the guards in the balloting. They should name him as a reserve though.

He's 6th?...my bad.
Anyway I think he should have a lot more votes.
From the west to east transition, people had to give votes to a different east guard instead of him. I think alot of them just got confused so didnt even try voting for him...atleast thats wat i keep telling myself

Yep, he finished sixth. The balloting is over and the results were at NBA.com this morning, but I can't find them now. Anyway T-Mac, Iverson, B. Davis, Lebron, and Kidd were all ahead of him. Yea the confusion probably led him to get less votes, but I still think he will be named to the team as a reserve. IMO he's putting up better numbers than Kidd and Lebron though Kidd will definitely make it. Lebron is gonna be a great player but I don't think he should be named to the all-star team this year.

i don't think the numbers that marbury accomplished with the western confernce suns count. and he's only been with a east team for about 8 games. i think when he came to the knicks, he came with a clean slate. and 8 games is a very little period of judgment. since there are a lot of good guards in the east, i think he won't make it, but i'm optimistic for him though

Baron has taken 200 more shots than marbury and is shooting 38% while Marbury is shooting 44% and more assists per game.

Baron lost all that weight and then he went shot-nutty. Don't know if he has the offensive players around him or what.

Yea but unfortuantely he's gonna make the all-star team because everyone is going to see that he is averaging 23 points a game.

forget about all star team - he is going to lead the league in assists (both in total and per game average) by the end of the year. in fact, it's probably too soon to say, but i can easily see him being in the running (probably finish 4th or 5th) in MVP voting by the end of the season.
