![]() He's my favorite Knicks player already, pretty much.
But he needs to prove he can bring it consistently. ¿ △ ?

![]() Wow, that video put a HUGE smile on my face. AR has so many skills: Blocking, defense on the ball, reliable mid-range shooting, a sick handle, smooth transition game and great finisher all combined with extreme length and athleticism. I can only imagine what this lineup will do after we sign Melo as a FA next summer:
5. AR/Amare/Mozgov/Turiaf It's almost an ideal MDA team. I see it as an 8-guy rotation with spot duty from the bigs depending on matchups. If only we could add Nash to that mix. This season is going to be a lot more fun to watch than any in recent memory. AR looks insanely good for a 21yo. |

![]() Yeah that's why you don't trade that kid. Also tho, I think it kind of killed my enthusiasm to see him at C. He's just too skilled to really have him have to worry about that. I see now why some would want him to be a 3 on a big lineup with Gallo at the 2, Amare at the 4 and a real C Turiaf or Mosgov out there. The kid is practically a guard the way he handles the ball.
I'm tickled pink that we got him. Remember when we all talked about the possibility that Nellie would get fed up with him and trade him. Little did we know that it would actually happen and we'd get him for a guy we were gonna let go anyway. You have to believe Donnie wants to see what he has in this kid before he'd ever consider giving him up. Too much size, skill and athleticism. |

![]() this kid need some seasoning. His BB IQ is on the low side right now. Whats he got? 100 NBA games under his belt? That being said look at his body and how much muscle he's put on since coming into the league at 175 pounds on draft night. Also the guy can really get after it on defense, a guy with a 7'3 wingspan with his skill set on both ends of the ball? Thats something you wait on.

![]() Other than the fact that he's currently closer to the blackhole side on offense, he IS the type of player you wait on, whether 'Melo is better or not. You don't just give up on a guy with that skillset, b/c that's star potential and it might not be that long until he really starts to blossom.
He does have to stop the ballhogging though. “Whenever I’m about to do something, I think ‘Would an idiot do that?’ and if they would, I do NOT do that thing.”- Dwight Schrute

After 7 years & 40K+ posts, banned by martin for calling Nalod a 'moron'. Awesome.

![]() WeLre just going to have to agree to disagree on this one. To me, having ARs skillset and size is more valueable then Melos scoring ability, and Im not even knocking `Melo anymore bc I honestly do like hios game. Im a fan. I even think hes much better right now. However, I hoild no doubts that AR will rise to stardom and when that happens, maybe much sooner than we think, I can see him pushing the Knicks much further than Melo would.

![]() He's a nice player, but he is definitely not ready to start at Center for us. He had Biedrens on the floor with him during the whole time, and Golden State is not a big team by any means. Give him the minutes but do not expose him to injury by playing him at Center. Playing him spot minutes at the 1-4 positions is the way to go.
Rose is not the answer.
